The marxist techniques of deception are clear to all who wish to pay attention.

They were never heroes. Evil from the start.

Both organizations require a full management overhaul. It will take many years but it can be done. They have rigorous standards that need to be honed so that they do not hire anyone with Leftist leanings.

The CIA was a tool of fabulously wealthy fascists before there was a CIA.

During the 60s and 70s Hollywood almost always made the CIA and whatever American agency was filling in for it evil, while the KGB was frequently portrayed as noble and wiser.

It was never heroic. It was the importation of British style intelligence into previously moral America. Henry Stimson was more what America was about, “gentlemen do not read other people’s mail”. People mock that, but he grew up in the old west. And when someone betrayed that trust (Japan). He presided over the construction of 50 some odd aircraft carriers and oversaw the Manhattan project and nuked them.

The CIA introduced British deceit, dishonesty and perfidy into the US government as a norm.

They have trashed America’s reputation in the world like nothing else.

... to trace the rise of cultural Marxism in the American intelligence community than perhaps any other individual not subject to CIA pre-publication review.

The first book of many to come on the subject of a compromised 'intelligence' service. CIA and FBI go 'old style KGB'...

We were warned back in 1968 about the coming Federal Police Force. It looks like the CIA and FBI have turned into that force.

Some Cold War heroes they were.

The CIC, which was the forerunner of the CIA was complicit in using known Nazi war criminals for counter-intelligence in the aftermath of WWII. The CIA specifically procured Klaus Barbie, "The Butcher of Lyon," as a government asset. They helped him, and his family escape Europe via a ratline through Genoa, Italy. From there, the Barbies traveled to Argentina and then Bolivia for a new life. Barbie was involved in a string of CIA-sponsored military coups in Bolivia. He was well-known for torturing and murdering French Jews, and resistance fighters. Victims were bitten by dogs and often had their arms and legs broken. They were whipped, beaten, injected with needles. His most vile act was having 44 Jewish schoolchildren rounded up and sent to Auschwitz. All of these children would go on to perish in Nazi gas chambers. The CIC deliberately lied to French officials about knowing his whereabouts. They hid him, and protected him.

There were claims he helped the government track down Che Guevara, but nothing solid. It is also stated that he had a role in the success of Pablo Escobar’s Medellin cartel, likely supplying them with weapons.

His biggest ally was billionaire drug trafficker Roberto Suarez Gomez. Barbie helped Gomez to install General Luis Garcia Meza Tejada as the puppet leader of Bolivia in 1980.

If it hadn't been for German journalist Beate Auguste Klarsfeld, and her husband Serge taking on the role of Nazi hunters, Barbie would have never been caught and extradited. As it is, by the time he was returned to France to stand trial, the death penalty had been eliminated, so the "Butcher of Lyon," remained in prison until his death in 1991.

Of course, one thing we'll never be privy to, is what info did any of these Nazi war criminals ever provide, that was actually beneficial to this country in the Cold War? Shhh. It's top-secret.
