HOUSTON – A Houston woman is in custody after firing a weapon towards a food delivery driver after a dispute from an order.
On Friday, police say Jalyn Searcy-Williams, 24, ordered alcohol on DoorDash, but the driver refused to leave it at the location because the original purchaser was not present. In response, Searcy-Williams fired a gun at him.
Deputies responded to the 12500 block of May Laurel Dr. after a nearby resident reported hearing the gunfire. Searcy-Williams was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Constable Mark Herman, her bond has not been set at this time.
About 60 years ago I was watching Red Skeleton do a skit on his Live TV Show .. .
There he was, in a modern living room, facing the audience. His wife walks up behind him and cheerfully says, “Hello, Darling.” He spins around, pulls out a revolver and shoots her 6-times !
The camera moves into a tight shot of him massaging his temple. A male Voice-Over follows: “SURE, you got a headache .. . but DON’T take it out on her.”
Time for Pizza delivery to use drones (they are, already, si?).

Drone flies away. Recipient gets a phone call from pizza delivery.

I enjoyed watching Red Skelton on TV, right before the Osmond Family had their own variety show. I even laughed at Jackie Gleason’s “To the Moon, Alice!” Honeymooner skit, but I would not have enjoyed that joke very much. Sort of ‘overkill’, even by 1960’s standards! That borders on a Twilight Zone outcome.

Prediction: She may answer like the convicted serial killer Israel Keyes when interrogators pressed him for a motive in killing 8 people and asked him “why?”
“Why not?” was his reply.
I had never heard of Israel Keyes. But interestingly enough, one of his neighbors was Chevie Kehoe, who in 1996 was convicted of a triple murder (a family father, mother, 8 year old daughter) & was executed 7/14/2020. What a neighborhood. It was a rural neighborhood in Washington state though. Not a development.
