CHICAGO (WLS) -- The solar eclipse of 2024 brings with it some hidden threats that are being laid out in a new special bulletin from Illinois State Police. According to the alert, the total eclipse of the sun on Monday will draw unchecked crowds in public places that should be considered terror targets. Local authorities also need to be prepared for drug overdoses as eclipse viewers try to enhance their experience.
According to the bulletin "Special Event Impact Analysis" dated next Monday and obtained by the I-Team, STIC authorities will track 21 special events considered "soft targets" for violent extremists.
"Sites or events (that) are attractive due to ease of access, fewer security restrictions, and the opportunity to inflict mass casualties," the bulletin said. "Large crowds are expected along Illinois' eclipse route, as in 2017. This Monday up to a quarter million could turn out "increasing the attractiveness of targeting mass groups of people."
A science journal study found that during the 2017 eclipse, U.S. illicit drug use spiked. Researchers analyzed wastewater and public sewage samples to determine cocaine and methamphetamine use was way up.
"They're into some type of alternative belief system where their experience with the eclipse is going to be enhanced by using some type of opioid substance, be it a pill, an injection. So, law enforcement needs to have Narcan available. Again, the big issue is, do these venues have Narcan available for their staff?" said Kushner.
The drug overdose threat is real according to law enforcement officials, especially based on the last eclipse in 2017.

Here on the coast of NC, we have had nonstop ‘chemtrails’ being sprayed for months - the beautiful blue skies are soon a hazy whitish color for the rest of the say and it starts up the next day. Every single day and even nights, I could count 5-6 planes zigzagging back and forth. You can tell the regular planes as their contrails disappear in moments.
However, for the past week, those chemtrail flying planes are GONE and the skies are clear. I wonder what they want us to see on Monday.
Northern Vermont is gonna have totality for 3 minutes. If we see wanton murders,rapes and robberies there we’ll know that plans should have been drawn up by the police.

The geo-engineering goes on daily north of Indy. On street corners people are selling eclipse glasses and T shirts.
It looks like anywhere in the US and Canada that there will be totality things are gonna be wild on Monday...and maybe even tomorrow.
I think it is just a big money making thing or maybe to steer attention away from other things.

I would expect more likely mass casualty events since they would be prime terrorist targets.
I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the drug overdose cases. The government is encouraging drug use and then pretending to care about drug overdoses.
Perhaps allowing the gene pool to clear itself out might be the way to go.
MAYBE when people start seeing the high death count, it will slap some sense into some heads and keep people from doing drugs.
...so what is the BIG difference between THIS eclipse and the one seven years ago? In 2017, we drove an hour or so into the western North Carolina mountains, dealt with a little traffic, got screwed out of $10 to park in someone’s pasture, and when it was over, we drove home. Get a grip, America!
Government is promoting crisis for this eclipse for some reason. It wasn’t like this for the last eclipses, which went smoothly. In NY schools are closed Monday. The NY State Thruway will be shut down. There are those highway message boards out all over the area announcing the eclipse Monday, “expect delays.” There are all kinds of fear stories coming out, like this one. Why?
