In many ways, today's Central Intelligence Agency seems to be America's version of "Big Brother" – or perhaps even to exceed it. By multiple reliable accounts, the CIA has been involved in everything from manipulating the media, to trafficking drugs, to flipping governments, to controlling Hollywood, even to participating in the assassination of a U.S. president. And of course, spying on Americans.

The CIA is the core group that nurtures coups, overthrows, civil unrest, assassinations, wars, tribal conflicts and world unrest. We would have a better world if the CIA were defunded and disbanded.

Look, you don’t send a CIA head honcho to the Middle East to smooth over issues that the Vegetable in the White House stirred up unless that organization is the one actually running the show in the background.

I’d be more apt to believe this of the Obama-era CIA, however.

Nah, the CIA has outlived it’s purpose.
It does beg the question as to what its purpose was at first. I would agree that all government agencies particularly post-1945 are automatically suspect.
