Alison Courtland, a wealthy New Yorker, hasn't a clue how she ended up waking up screaming on a train bound for Boston. When she phones her husband, Richard, the police listen in and overhear that she had threatened him with a gun.
Sleep, My Love (1948 Film Noir - Don Ameche, Claudette Colbert, Robert Cummings)
Not sure I’ve seen this one yet. Thank you for posting it.
Don Ameche was a great actor with a very interesting look. Could play a villain or hero.
Ping for later watch!
I never quite understood Bob Cummings success in his era. He was annoyed that one of his last big TV Shows, “My Living Doll” had him constantly upstaged by Julie Newmar playing an obedient robot.
I always thought it was Dom Ameche.
Wikipedia: “Don Ameche was born as Dominic Felix Amici on May 31, 1908, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. His father, Felice Amici, was a bartender from Montemonaco, Ascoli Piceno, Marche, Italy. His mother, Barbara Etta Hertel, was of Scottish, Irish, and German ancestry.”
Hollywood news...Tom cruise in talks to buy Paramount. There was a rumor he was dating that Russian chick to try to get financing. Maybe Middle East stepped up.
Actually it is more like David Ellison. Not sure cruise has ownership stake in Skydance.
Small part by Raymond Burr playing a detective, pleasant surprise.
