Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrested a viral TikToker who attracted notoriety through a video advocating that illegals use squatter's rights to effectively take over American homes, Fox News reported, citing an "ICE official."
Agents with the Detroit field office reportedly arrested Leonel Moreno in Gahanna, Ohio.
An ICE spokesperson told Just the News on Thursday that "Leonel Moreno is an unlawfully present Venezuelan non-citizen, who illegally entered the country April 23, 2022. Moreno was placed into the ATD [Alternatives to Detention] program by Border Patrol and was told to report to Enforcement and Removal Operations office within 60 days of arriving at his destination. Moreno did not report as required."
Earlier this month, Moreno posted the video on his TikTok, which boasted more than half a million followers, in which he explained the rights of unlawful residents to claim a property in limited circumstances and claimed his friends had "already taken about seven homes."
In the wake of the video, the state of Florida quickly approved legislation allowing for property owners to request that law enforcement swiftly remove unlawful occupants.
"We are putting an end to the squatters scam in Florida. While other states are siding with the squatters, we are protecting property owners and punishing criminals looking to game the system," GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis said.
So, free room and board?
5 will get you 10 that the ICE agents will be severely reprimanded for arresting this poor “migrant”.
No cash bail, $10K debit card, reservation for a paid suite at the Four Seasons, podcast contract with Netflix, limo, and security detail. It’s not a parody anymore.
The arrest was for failure to report, not the video.
Remember “Rage Boy” from post 9 - 11?
Squatter Guy and Rage Boy pix, side by side,
would make a fine campaign poster. No captions
needed — just the pix.
The fact that we haven’t had ‘stand your ground’ type of shootings in about half the states recently goes to show how well responsible gun owners are.
Yet it’s a matter of time before a squatter meets a dirt nap, this will end the problem one would think.
That’s a start, now deport him and his 50M fellow illegals to Siberia.
Unfortunately his “wife” dropped a grappling hook baby on US soil. He will be released and given a lifetime of welfare.
He’s from Venezuela who refuses to take back the criminals they sent here. I heard there are vacancies in Gitmo. Send him there for a 10 year free vacation.
And so they arrested him.
What difference does that even make these days?
Jail him and put him in solitary with no internet.
He has light skin so he’s in trouble.
Why did it take 3 years to arrest Ray Epps, who did far more than this Tic Tokker?
In Siberia they possibly could find help. How about dropping them off on Antarctica. No supplies or food, just....”We’re here, get off and good luck”
Helicopter drop over Haiti—solves two problems at once—illegal immigration plus Haiti food shortage.
;-)
That works for me!
Federal authorities believe that the migrant TikTok influencer who became a social media sensation for encouraging others to squat in US homes was a sergeant in Venezuela’s military intelligence unit before he illegally entered the country, a federal source told The Post.
