General Michael Flynn joins Alex Jones live to give his expert analysis of the Baltimore barge-bridge disaster.
General Flynn said the ship violated multiple maritime SOPs and that he does not rule out terrorism. He also said the harbor master had a lot to answer for.

can you imagine the amount of narrative control cubicle doughnuts all his multiple personalities go through each day ?
Yeh, Mike spread the fear porn. ๐
where we go one, we go Flynn.
Also 2002. Webbersfall, OK. I-40 bridge over Arkansas River. 14 deaths.
I've read Taleb's books FRiend.
In his talk, Flynn uses "black swan" as he would use the word "accident." Any accident like this is basically a "black swan." Unpredictable, non-computable, a cascade of consequences, ultimately human or system generated.
But then he turns with the comment "we can not take terrorism off the table." Yes - do not take it off the table. Investigate it first - and present clear facts for what would be a very low probability explanation.
Sounds racist.
Lol
Yeh selling products is how it work$ . Just donโt buy them
Queen Isabella Causeway in Port Isabel Texas as well
A Black Swan Event is one that is so unpredictable it comes by surprise, has major impact, and is rationalized after the fact. The collision happened yesterday. It is far too early to draw sweeping conclusions. It was a major accident, it happened, there is not much known for sure beyond that.
With all due respect, I don’t believe either Mike Flynn nor Alex Jones can provide “expert testimony” regarding the Key Bridge disaster. In any known universe.
Apparently, that sensational “first black Port Commissioner” didn’t see anything wrong with ops in the harbor.
To be fair, neither did any of the others.
As soon as my attention was brought to this area, I saw at least 4 major factors which needed to be adjusted.
Where were these “Commissioners”?
They should have asked you. You know everything.
Loss of power and hence a loss of steering during sea and anchor detail is a formula for disaster. A nightmare for all ship drivers.
Was the Mothman seen in the vicinity? ๐
He thought Black Swans (Cygnus atratus) did not even exist. Black Swans existed in abundance circa 100 AD - in Australia.
They're a species of Least Concern today.
His assumptions were incorrect because -he- and the scientific community at the time had rarely observed them in their fields of travel. But they existed - and in plentiful numbers.
I think Taleb has it correct. So did SECDEF Rumsfeld ("Unknown unknowns"). I can imagine what some people would do today if they saw a live Black Swan.
Re: 24 - Taleb’s definition and the one by Investopedia are not even close to being comparable.

What I have said is that Alex Jones is a despicable cad who makes outlandish statements to lure the gullible to his website to buy his overpriced supplements.
E. Pluribus Unum wrote: “He also thinks selling health supplements is a scam (Jones’ supplements are the best in the business because if they weren’t he would be driven ot of business) and he shouldn’t sell anything. He has no problem with corporate news getting 95% of their funding from Pfizer, though.”
BuzzFeed tested the supplements Jones sells:
“Alex Jonesโ wildly popular suite of Infowars supplements probably wonโt kill you, but extensive tests provided to BuzzFeed News have shown that theyโre little more than overpriced and ineffective blends of vitamins and minerals that have been sold in stores for ages.”
