A wildlife hospital just solved a hilarious case of mistaken identity. On Thursday, a woman brought in a baby hedgehog to the Lower Moss Nature Reserve and Wildlife Hospital in Cheshire, England — only to be told it wasn’t an animal in need but a beanie hat pop-pom.
The caring woman had picked up the 'hedgehog' from the side of the road after she noticed it “hadn’t moved or pooped all night,” reported U.K. newspaper The Independent. “From a distance, you take it at face value. She didn’t handle it at all — she scooped it in a box with some cat food and left it alone in a warm, dark place,” veterinarian Janet Kotze, who was on shift at the time, told the outlet. “She did everything so well. She barely peeked at it because she didn’t want to stress it out.”

Reminds me of the archeological find that turned out to be a rubber sex toy.
I forgot about that Startrek episode! If you can post the picture from the article of that “hedgehog” in the box I’d appreciate it. I don’t know how to do that.
Seriously? Oh my.
Anyone else see the headline and think “Babylon Bee strikes again!”?
“I forgot about that Startrek episode!”
That was a pretty disappointing episode, I was a kid I was totally into Star Trek Back in the ‘60s when it first came out and when that episode hit I was so disillusioned I stopped watching star trek altogether. But big brother introduced me to some sci-fi books and that sort of took over I have since seen the Tribbles but... it’s never been the same for me.
I can’t stand her or the character she played on Seinfeld.
That is hilarious.
I thought it was “People for Yahoos” magazine.
This can not be true....LOL!
One million, seven hundred seventy one thousand, five hundred sixty one ...
Are you a Klingon?
Thank you!! And yes, a tribble.
Agreed. Sad thing is people like her vote, but at least she’s voting in England and not here. Oh, wait! We have folks with similar IQs on this side of the pond.
This is why we don’t have hedgehogs in the US.
