If you look at the video. She had poor situational awareness and likely would not be able to get to her gun before she was grabbed from behind. The dogs were utterly useless.

In this particular moment, whether there was a father or not, doesn’t matter. Someone was present to save the girl. What if mom wasn’t home? didn’t hear the scream?

If there was a father present. the perp probably would not have stalked the girl. But he was obsessed so he probably would have.

I’m not too happy the media is advertising “single mom”. Endangers her a bit... or people will become more vigilant. A two way street.
