Stefanie Smith died last month during a flight home from a vacation in the Dominic Republic.
An Indiana mom who died on a plane home from the Dominican Republic passed away from natural causes.
Until now, mystery had surrounded the death of 41-year-old Stefanie Smith, who fell ill suddenly while on an American Airlines flight Feb. 28. Her family was left distraught and searching for answers.
But autopsy results now reveal that the mother of two died from a carotid artery dissection in her neck, according to Scripps News Indianapolis. Essentially, she died from a tear to one of her neck arteries, according to the National Library of Medicine.
"It was truly a tragic medical event that happened," Smith's brother Chris Volz told Scripps News Indianapolis. The results did not suggest any signs of foul play.

41, NATURAL CAUSES
Suddenly. Inexplicably.
Yeah it happens. Mt next door neighbor had a friend that died of a heart attack in his mid 30s.
Has happened a lot more often over the past 2 1/2 years.
I would classify an artery suddenly splitting open as a cardiovascular issue. I’ll leave it at that for now.
This happens. Usually in younger women…but some men.
It can happen in the heart, in the kidney, or in the brain. They don’t know why. But the inner lining of the artery peels apart and the pressure of the blood will force the lining down to block the artery.
When it happens in the big arteries, the dissection just keeps going and the whole thing just gets clogged—like someone stuffing a sock in there.
It’s not clots. It has nothing to do with clots.
This is what killed John Ritter. Don’t know that there’s any way to see it coming, although maybe someone more knowledgeable can comment.
By the time you feel symptoms that alarm you enough to seek expert medical help it’s likely too late. These are treated successfully most often after discovering by accident while looking for something else or by screening tests at a lucky moment. You can be IN a hospital, have an artery dissect and be unsaveable, unfortunately.
My grandmother died of this exact thing. Her carotid burst and seconds later she was dead.
But she was not young, she was 100 years old.
Some here try to say that athletes dying happen too, which is true, but the number that have died sine the vaccines is way beyond the norm.
Perhaps the embalmers may come to a different conclusion.
In other words, I do not need convincing as to the dangers of these mRNA shots, and I furthermore contend that it was intentional. I have been saying this from very early on. I also said that Covid-19 was not that deadly based upon the Cruise ship infections that got stranded on board in Japan, of older people, but the number of deaths were not high at all.
So, I am right there with you on the thought process for sure. 🙂👍
I wonder if she’d SCUBA dived while in the DR…
Pops literally dropped dead. An autopsy performed on the day of his death determined that his history of coronary artery disease led to a myocardial infarction (heart attack) and ventricular fibrillation with the immediate cause being an occlusive coronary thrombosis in the left anterior descending artery resulting from a ruptured cholesterol plaque. Tim Russert died from the same... walking into a hotel lobby, muttered “what’s happening” and dropped dead.
It’s not uncommon and it’s quick.
People young and old drop dead every day, there’s no mystery to it.
My dad was all of 63. Lived a tough life, TB took his father, he was fostered at 12, his mother was crazy, she died at 97. The depression, WWII, Korea, Vietnam... a hard life. Then Bam! Gone. I never really knew him, it stirs my memories sometimes.
When it is said “life is short” that’s not a lie or a conspiracy. That’s the truth the greater percentage of the time.
My neighbor was 47, he had a heart attack while playing tennis. This person is 41. So like you said, it happens.
Nothing to do with covid shots. We're all genetic time bombs.
I had a spontaneous left carotid artery dissection in 2004. It was most likely the result of a strange virus I had 2 weeks earlier which weakened the arterial wall. I had also spent some time painting the walls in my office with my neck hyperextended the week prior. My only symptom was unrelenting pulsatile tinnitus for a week before my diagnosis. I was in Barrow Neurological Institute for 1 night where I had more tests done, but then I was sent home on Plavix for 6 months. I never got the impression I was close to dying from the dissection.
John Ritter had an aortic artery dissection which usually kills you. Not the same thing at all.
Guess what else can cause arterial dissection...?
