US missionaries trapped in Haiti beg for help amid violent gang takeover: ‘The gunfire never stops’
US missionaries trapped in Haiti say they are worried nobody is coming to rescue them as gang violence and lawlessness tear the country apart, leaving dead bodies piled up in the streets.
Jill Dolan and her family are trapped in the country, sheltering in place at a makeshift motel in capital Port-au-Prince — where most of the violence has been concentrated — awaiting an evacuation, while gunfire can be heard outside day and night.
Dolan, who helps run an orphanage in Haiti through her organization Love A Neighbor, said she is in contact with the US Embassy, but little help has been offered.

Yes, missionaries never know when to leave which is why so many of them suffer gruesome deaths.
DemonRATs want to bring that here.
‘The gunfire never stops’
They’re going to need an ammo drop
It aint ‘missionary’ enough just to go to Portland or Baltimore.
Technically they are not missionaries any more since they threw in the towel and cried for help.
Yes, true conversion results in obedience to the word of God, the Scriptures and what the Spirit leads to in accordance with it. (Rm. 8:14)
The Lord fed the 5000 and all had their fill. You know He fed them well and with good food. They came back looking for more and He was basically saying that is not how this works. You need His Body and Blood to be saved.
Meaning effectual regenerating faith which thus lives by the word of God as Jesus said to do, and which was His "meat," which He taught is what eating and living by Him, the Word made flesh, meant in metaphor intensive John.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. (John 6:57)
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. (John 4:34)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)
Nowhere was literally physically consuming anything the means of obtaining spiritual life within, which by penitent faith in the risen Lord Jesus who saves sinners on His account.
Thus, the Lord's supper is nowhere referred to as spiritual food anywhere interpretive of John 6 (Acts thru Rev.), instead, the word of God is what is taught as being spiritual nourishment, being that which is called "milk" and "meat" (1Co. 3:2; Heb. 5:13; 1Pt. 2:2) by which believers are "nourished" (1Tim. 4:6) and built up, and with the preaching of which being the primary active function of pastors, whereby they "fed the flock." (Acts 20:28, 32) Thanks be to God
“US missionaries trapped in Haiti say they are worried nobody is coming to rescue them”
My friend’s church would send a group of their high-school kids every year to a mission in Haiti for 10 days over spring-break. I called it the: “hug a black child and send back photos tour” I always wondered, why can’t the local Haitian members nail sheet metal to a roof? Or clean up the trash around the compound - which was the normal “work” the kids engaged in for a week or so. I certainly don’t doubt these kids’ (or really, their parents’) generosity or charity - but to me, it also reinforces leftist white guilt, and woke-progressive-globalist ways of thinking for these suburban American kids.
Not all missionaries are the same, for sure, while historically missionaries went where there was no gov. to help them in particular, and usually the latter opposed them, as does the gov. here against traditional evangelicals and any conservative who will not salute the flag of Sodom.
And faithful Christians are not to be looking for the gov to help them, nor teach others do to so, aside from gov. doing their duty to lawfully protect the innocent.
As for missions trips, it can be good for kids to see something a little close to how humanity lived for most of history, and also to see the product of corrupt, non-Christian government and ideology, yet insist on training the locals to do what they can.
Germans and Japanese did that after WWII ended. Now they have the biggest economies in the world.
Aren't these the kind of folks that need Jesus the most?
I'll bet the Mormons aren't going to leave.

Say “HI!” to Kyle.
In Haiti, Vodouists have also practiced Mormonism,[38] or been involved in Freemasonry;[39] in Cuba they have involved themselves in Santería,[40] and in the United States with modern Paganism.[41]
No flames from me!
Just like the USA!
Haiti is on the LEFT side.
We don’t use that word any more. Bad connotations.
Use ‘recycling’ instead.
My friend, who lives near me, was originally from the Dominican Republic. He says the DR does not want any Haitians to cross into the DR. That might be a little bit politically incorrect, but maybe they don’t care about PC.
That's the original sin of Haiti.
John 6
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 52 If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world. 53 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 55 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. 56 For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 57 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. 58 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. 59 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever. 60 These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum. 61 Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it? 62 But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you? 63 If then you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 64 It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit and life. 65 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was, that would betray him.

Moreover, since you invoked "Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you" [Jn. 6:53] then since one obtains spiritual life within via regeneration by the Spirit of Christ (Jn. 3:7; Gal. 4:6) then you must show where souls ever obtained this spiritual life-giving regeneration by taking part in the Lord's supper, versus believing the gospel.
Such as,
There was a certain man in Cæsarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, (Acts 10:1) And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. (Acts 11:13-14) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:... (Acts 10:34)
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. (Acts 10:43-48)
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. (Acts 15:7-9)
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (James 1:18)
In whom you also, after you had heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation), in whom also believing, you were signed with the holy Spirit of promise. (Eph 1:13 [DRB])
In contrast, the Lord's supper is only for the already regenerated, in which they effectually remember the Lord's death by showing/proclaiming (1 Corinthians 11:26) the communal unity with Christ and members of His body which were bought with His sinless shed blood, (cf. Acts 20:28) by taking part in a holy communal meal, as together being "one bread." (1 Corinthians 10:17)
Likewise, to take part in dedicatory pagan religious feasts is to have "fellowship with devils." (1 Corinthians 10:21)
See 1 Co. 10,11 , by the grace of God.
