Ever wonder what happens to the internet after you log off? I bet it never crossed your mind that even though you logged off the internet, your computer is still vulnerable. Yes, if you fail to actually turn the internet off first before you log off, you are leaving your pc's hard drive vulnerable to being hacked. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen enough. Imagine all the vital information you have on your computer that someone could steal.
Well, very few people know about this, but there is an OFF button (off button below) that needs to be clicked or else your computer will still be logged onto the web. In order to protect your hard drive from being accessed while you are away, you should always turn off the internet before you log off. So the next time you are finished surfing the web, make sure you stop by to turn off the internet. After all, it is the responsible thing to do.
Just click on the button in the image below and you will turn off the internet. Then you can assured that after you have log off, no one will be hacking into your computer, and all your information will be safe. Please be a good citizen and share this information with everyone you know.
LOL
LOL
How will “they” watch me if I turn it off?
Well, you probably are watching television or using your phone.
So don’t worry, they can still; see you.
:)
Caution!
I clicked on you link and then my Blender turned on, then my power went out.
LOL,
You messed up it’s analytical dysfunctional dillybobber that controls the main switch that’s connected to your fuse box.
🤨
It actually isn’t a bad idea to make an OFF button that completely turn off network access, but they have to run it by the CIA and FBI first to make sure those agencies have back doors to turn machines back on when they need to automatically update some hidden evidence against potential malcontents. :)
“”dysfunctional dillybobber””
Reminds me of El Rush-Bo and the Disgronificator. If you do not know the hilarious story behind the Disgronificator, I urge you to look it up. Rush would mention it off and on for years.
That was what the word I was thinking of, but could not come up with the word Rush used, so I made my own up.
Disgronificator, thanks for reminding me.
How do we turn it back on?
Oh well here goes nothing...see you guys again...maybe
ifconfig em0 down
linux and bsd guys know this one.
Windows will shut off the connection too but don’t use that stuff here. Look under “connections” or something like that.
When they do, they will use it to shut us down to keep us from communicating while they round up all us, the enemies of the state.
Just to be sure I turned it off twice.
Just to be helpful, I turned it back on for you.
Now I am contemplating other ways to keep everyone safe.
Maybe I’ll post one that turns it back on, or better yet, one that turns off the government.
But how will I get my Microsoft updates?
Don’t think they are able to disconnect.
“I’m sorry Dave, I can’t do that.”
