The report says they are checking bags. I suspect there is a report about a planned terror attack in the subway.

They’d be better off turning 100 Bernard Goetz’s loose in the subway...
New York has an MP NG regiment, who were sent to Iraq to guard POWs during Gulf War II. A good portion of them are cops and firemen as full time jobs. A high school classmate was a NYC fire department battalion commander and commander of that NG regiment. I wonder what he thinks of all this.
They probably STILL won’t be prosecuting their criminals.

Yep. My guess is, the Guard is there for Ramadan and some intelligence connected to it.
