Mark F. Giuliano, a career FBI official who was second-in-command at the law enforcement agency when it launched a controversial investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server as she sought the 2016 Democratic nomination for president, died March 2 at his home in Decatur, Ga. He was 62.
The cause was an apparent heart attack, said his sister Ann Britz.
In an FBI career that began in 1988 and spanned almost three decades, Mr. Giuliano started as a street agent in Washington pursuing violent crime and gangs. He later supervised high-profile criminal cases and the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted program.
As with many FBI agents, the focus of his work shifted significantly following the al-Qaeda terrorist attacks of 2001. The FBI put a larger emphasis on global security threats and, for a time, he worked in Afghanistan overseeing an FBI team supporting U.S. Special Forces.

at this point in time, I have absolutely no mercy, sympathy, or empathy for the FBI employees and their families--They are complicit in the destruction of the USA.
I'm sure there are freepers who have worked for the FBI in their career at some point and I'll respect their service, but it gets harder by the day to not wish bad things upon the current state of the organization and everything associated with it.

Same here. I’m sure there were some good FBI agents in the past but no more. If they are good people, they have quit and moved on to local law enforcement or retired.
I’m sure we do have some for members in here but they are NOT our friend. LOL

He retired Feb 1, 2016 and was replaced by McCabe, so he wasn’t around for the worst of the Russia hoax and Clinton emails. You are right, you don’t get that high up unless you know how to play the game..

Reagan gave the government, the country, and even the world, a focus on anti-communism. After that there has been a lot of drift. Obama did a lot of harm that should be apparent to all now that he is in his third term.
The US should have celebrated victory in the cold war and given credit to President Reagan. Schools, roads, and buildings should have been named after Ronald Reagan throughout the land. A young Mark Giuliano would have seen regular reminders of what success looks like.
I’m no longer a fan of G.W. Bush. However, he did propose preparing for manned missions to Mars. I considered that wasteful at the time. Still, a national, and perhaps even world-wide, focus on a positive endeavor might have captured the imagination of people who instead adopted movements like global warming, climate change, DEI and world-wide governance as their goals.
When Sean says that, he I’d just trying to be fair.

Coincidentally, a lot of people are saying Hillary is going to run again. It almost makes you wonder if he had information that could hurt her campaign.

Yeah, they see the potential handwriting on the wall for next year and need to be sure things are cleaned up, just-in-case. Especially since he retired and is no longer useful, just a potential liability. Could also prove to be a convenient scapegoat if needed, since he won’t be around to complain.
I was in the USA for my first visit in over 7 years.
