No gasses heavier than helium detected. This is still more evidence of the Big Bang having occurred 13.8 billion years ago. Heavier elements such as carbon and oxygen will only be found where there has been enough time for stellar evolution to produce it.

There are two spikes horizontally at 9 and 3 o’clock, very short...............

My astigmatism practically blurred them out. Tipping my head helped...

Yes.

You use a solid mirror. Good luck launching a 6.5m mirror ... For comparison, HST has a 2.4m mirror.

If the Laws of Physics trouble you, you can always try to get them repealed. IIRC, one of Obama's lackeys actually suggested that in a meeting.

The spikes are an artifact from Webb’s optical system. It has to do with how the optics were designed..Smaller, amateur reflecting telescopes have them, too.
I believe that they can be removed through photo editing, however.

Someone who know more about astrophoto editing can correct me if I’m wrong.
Actually, I think they look kinda cool.
