Israel won’t send team to Cairo, said to believe Sinwar seeks escalation on Ramadan

Israel will not be sending a negotiating team to Cairo, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel Sunday, after receiving an unsatisfactory response from Hamas on the latest framework for a hostage deal hammered out in Paris last weekend.

The Gaza-based terror organization refused to address Jerusalem’s demand to provide a list of living hostages and to lock down how many Palestinian prisoners Israel must release for every hostage freed, added the official.

Hamas’s position was conveyed to Israel through Qatar.

According to Channel 12, the war cabinet and the professional echelon all agreed that there was no point in sending a delegation to Egypt for ongoing talks given Hamas’s response.

On Sunday afternoon, a Hamas official told CNN that the group will not agree to a deal without Israel consenting to an end to the war in Gaza, a non-starter for Israel.

There are a couple of possibilities. There are no living hostages. Or the people who have the hostages are not under the control of whoever might be trying to negotiate. Hamas has a name, but it’s probably more a crowdsourced strategy than an organization. Meaning the “leadership” is the leadership only so long as they provide money and supplies. This is the exact reason the West provides money and supplies, so they have someone to deal with. The loyalty of the Hamas’ “subordinates” is as fickle and transitory as teenage fashion.

If that is the case, then there is no point in negotiating, as no leader can enforce peace on their side.

Makes sense. Hamas probably is not able to account for all of the hostages. So they can't share that information with Israel.

My guess is there are no living hostages. I wouldn’t negotiate with Hamas anyway.

The Hamas refusing to provide the names of the living hostages is the same Hamas that will also guarantee their end of a ceasefire agreement?

“...is the same Hamas that will also guarantee their end of a ceasefire agreement?”

There is no possibility that anyone claiming to control Hamas can guarantee anything. The Muslim religion allows anyone who believes he is holier than thou to do whatever he wants in the name of the religion. How many nutcase people have you known in your life who believed they were inherently better and more holy than anyone else? Now, empower them to kill whoever they wish. That’s what we have in “Hamas.” It’s not an organization. It’s just a name and the West pretends it’s an organization so we can pretend to make agreements and resolve issues and live happily ever after together. The West projects this belief because the alternative is they’d have to deal with the issue in the only way you can, which is to kill everyone on the other side. Can’t have that, so we all pretend. Then, we’re shocked when whatever agreement isn’t kept.

I suspect the same.
Keep bombing the crap out of Gaza until nobody there is alive.
Then pave it over.

These Muzzies also often operate in cell groups where one does not know about the other. Deliberately to prevent how much the group can get compromise in the event someone is captures and squeals.

Armies attack when the other side is having its holidays, not when their own side is having holidays.

Just a guess but I would estimate maybe 50% of the remaining given as a number are actually dead. RIP.
At the every end the Arabs will renege and keep some last hostages after lying about them and receiving the Arab prisoners in exchange. Lying to infidels is not a sin.
