There are some who say we should shun people like Galloway but as I said he’s a character and independent spirit.
I’d take him over a lot of politicians in parliament or Congress . Most are fake anyway even on “our” side.
He seems the type of guy that you can have a spirited conversation with and disagree with him whole-heartedly and he won’t phone your workplace to destroy your career in response.
You’d probably kill him in an economic debate. He’s clueless.
But on foreign affairs he will probably wipe the floor with most of us

Controversial anti-Israel politician and London Mayoral candidate George Galloway has been accused of “fascism,” after refusing a man entry to his events because he is pro-Israel.

A brutal ISIS torturer wasn’t the only jihadist terrorist who traveled with former British MP George Galloway to Gaza, it has been revealed.
According to a recent report, Alexander Kotey left the UK on Galloway’s “Viva Palestina” convoy to Gaza in 2009, and from there eventually made his way to Syria to join the Islamic State terror group. [...]
As many as eight Muslim extremists who would later be convicted of or involved in terrorist activities joined the convoy, according to The Times. Among them were Amin Addala and Reza Afsharzadegan, both known associates of Emwazi from west London; and Stephen Gray, a former member of the Royal Air Force who attempted to join ISIS.
The list of extremists who traveled with Galloway also includes a member of the Taliban and former Guantanamo Bay detainee, Jamal al-Harith. Al-Harith was released from Guantanamo in 2004, and more recently joined ISIS in Syria.

George Galloway And The Left’s Alliance With Terror
The news that British MP George Galloway was the planned guest speaker at a February 1 Hamas fundraiser at Boston’s Palestinian Cultural Center for Peace would, in a morally coherent world, be alarming for those in the West who wonder why elected officials should be gathering support for a group of jihadist thugs whose principal efforts are dedicated to the extirpation of Israel and the murder of Jews.

MP George Galloway has congratulated Hizbollah on its “victory” in Israel.
At a news conference in a Beirut hotel, the controversial politician said: “I came here to extend my congratulations to the Lebanese people on a great and historic victory against this aggression.
“I want to congratulate the Lebanese resistance and their leading edge, Hizbollah, whose martyrs and her s have achieved this great victory.
“And in particular to their leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, whose name now rings in joy around the world.”
Galloway is in Beirut to present a phone-in radio show for a British radio station.
The terrorists he does fundraisers for might blow up your office, though.
Here’s a question for you:-
Would you rather have more Galloway’s and less RINO types?
We’re all big enough to know when to agree and disagree.
I feel the same about Tulsi Gabbard, etc.
Just because he supports terrorist organizations and travels with ISIS torturers isn’t reason to believe he isn’t otherwise a good guy to have in power! Come on!
“There are some who say we should shun people like Galloway”
Now why would anyone in their right mind want to do something like that?

That answers the question as to what alleged guff he’s faced?
Lots of bad people were around since the 1970s and earlier. Take Mahmoud Abbas for one example.
So you want another Bernie Sanders in our Congress?
Thanks.
The Republican Party is filled with wimps who Galloway would eat up quickly.

Galloway already “ate up” some Senators during the second Iraq War.
His name and associations were being slandered in the press and Senate Committee, so he showed up in DC to give his response.
He “lit up” Senators Coleman & Levin in that hearing and had a good showing.
I’m not a fan of his leftwing politics, but he’s an entertaining political figure in an age of boring political hacks.
Galloway isn’t anti-war when it comes to Arabs killing Jews. He’s a cheer leader of any islamo nazis you care to name.
It’s disturbing that there is a subset on FR who would praise this lunatic.
He’s a duly elected Member of Parliament.
I wouldn’t say he’s a lunatic. He’s an independent.
Like I say, think Gabbard, etc. I feel the same about him.
No one here will like Gabbard’s stance on 2A but they might like her other stances on foreign policy.
Are we not old enough to know when to agree and disagree?
#ShatterTheSystem
I know it sounds mean-spirited bit I’d have to laugh (but only a little) if one of his disgruntled constituents were to put a bullet in his brain.
My point exactly some here possibly think socialists are cool for the way they are “part” libertarian. Point is that galloway is a longtime RED Communist spouting bullcrap to get a salary. Lots of youtubs on him years back— incredible jacka@@.
More real R Conservatives (Reagan Conservatives which includes a whole lot of Goldwater fiscal people)— and ZERO Galloways who are just loudmouth self serving a@@holes.
I suspect you’re just a somewhat bitter (ex?)-Neocon / Bushie who refused to listen back in 2003 and harbor this grudge
I’d rather have a Galloway over a nominal RINO Republican.
Galloway was right about Iraq as it turned out and the Bushes dead wrong.
