ATLANTA (NewsNation) — The judge in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump is set to hear final legal arguments Friday over whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should be removed from the prosecution over a romantic relationship with another prosecutor on the case.
Attorneys for Trump and other defendants in the election case argue Willis’ romantic relationship with lead prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she hired, poses a conflict of interest. They allege Willis paid Wade large sums for his work and then improperly benefited when he paid for vacations for the two of them.
Willis and Wade have acknowledged the relationship, which they said ended last summer, but they have argued it does not create any conflict and has no bearing on the case. They said they didn’t begin dating until spring 2022, after Wade was hired, and they split travel expenses.

Fani wins and Trump will have to pay her $450 million ? LOL
Meanwhile, Fulton County, GA is still in the midst of a ransomware situation.
Fani skates watch and see. This was a non starter from day one.
I have zero faith in our judicial system. The Left has gone nuclear and we’ve lost any sense of justice.
The judge is an inexperienced ‘RAT squish who donated to Fannypack’s campaign for DA. Nothing is going to happen.
Rats judging their own misbehavior and lawlessness. What could go wrong?!
Closing arguments should be interesting.
Meanwhile, the GOP is looking for someone to run against Willis for Fulton DA.
“Critics aim to take Fani Willis’ removal fight to the ballot box”
Fulton is majority black.
43% Black to 37% White.
If she is allowed to run again she will win in a landslide........think Marion Barry

Competence and lack of criminality make no difference at all, when racism rears its head. She’s black is all that matters. Not one person be blacker in Atlanta...home of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Hosea Williams, Maynard Jackson, Andrew Young, Southern Poverty Law Center. Why any white person would choose to live there boggles the mind.
Whenever I travel North to the mountains, I always go out my way to drive around Fulton-Dekalb Counties...that hot bed of racism.
DEI trumps the law. Silly rabbit, law is for kids.
Oh, she will be re-elected. IF she is allowed to run again.

Municipal elections in Fulton County, Georgia (2020)
District attorney
Fani Willis defeated [Democrat] incumbent Paul Howard Jr. with 72% of the vote to his 28% [in the primary runoff]. Howard had held the office [for 24 years] since 1997. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote, “Leading up to Democratic primary on June 9, the race had largely been a referendum on Howard’s 24 years in office, particularly the last year.” In another article the Journal-Constitution also wrote, “As the runoff nears, both candidates have been fiercely attacking one another, both during online debates and in ads. Howard has criticized Willis for accepting donations from police unions. Willis has condemned the DA for the sexual harassment complaints filed against him. (Howard strongly denies the allegations.)”
Note: 24 years is the 4th or 5th longest term for a county DA across the country.
Fani Willis was unopposed in the general election.
The biggest problem in Fulton County is that the Republicans ran NO CANDIDATES in any of the countywide offices in 2020. You got to put up a fight if you want to stay in the game.
[Here in Cumberland County Maine, the political leadership has done the same thing. I am trying to change that.]
Fulton County is not completely democrat. They have at least Republicans on the board of commissioners elected in 2020. The also elected an additional Republican in 2022, but defeated an incumbent republican. Again they did not run any candidate for the county wide chairperson seat ceding that position to the Democrats.
The incumbent Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairperson Robb Pitts won election in the general election for Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairperson on November 8, 2022.
An unopposed county office like that provides a bellwether of voter turnout. The Governor’s race turnout is also import data point.
Demographic Data for Fulton County, Georgia
Fulton County Population: 1,066,710
Georgia Population: 10,711,908
(10% of the state)
Registered Voters: 752,646
2022 VOTER TURNOUT
Ballots Cast: 421,396
Robb Pitts (D): 348,332
Governor’s race: 419,884
So more people actually voted for the Chairperson of the county commission than valid votes for governor.
Having candidates running for county office may have increased turnout from 55% to 60% or more. Some people come out to vote for their local friends.
i wonderhow much more Terrence Bradley type
weasely speculation
we will hear /-)
Last time I saw something like what Trumps lawyers did to Bradley Joe Pesci was gettin’ beat to death with a baseball bat in the movie Casino. Lol!
I agree. Fani is a nepo-baby and Georgia is in the middle of a battle for the hearts and minds of the people. That police training facility is being used as a political organizing tool. Antifa recruits, dressed in black bloc outfits attacked banks in Tucson this week, saying that the world needs to learn of the threat that the GA training facility poses. They aren’t going to let their judicial nepo-baby go down.
here we go
it wasnt delayed
its starting folks
One thing you won’t see today......HER.
Judge McAfee seems not to want to hear too much about the evidence in closing arguments.
