Is it the presidential immunity one we should be worried about? I am confused about why this is an issue. What has happened throughout history? Has the president had immunity up to this time, or not? Why is this an issue now?

“What has happened throughout history? Has the president had immunity up to this time, or not? Why is this an issue now?”

Background
A president or former president has never been charged with a crime before, which means that no court has been given the opportunity to rule on the topic. However, there have been a couple of close encounters.

I haven’t read this whole article yet as I just got back from the store and jumped on the TFT right away.

Just think about it. If a President didn’t have immunity he could be convicted of War Crimes. Someone could have charged Truman with murder for having dropped the bombs. Even though we were in a war they could have said that was outside the (Whatever) I can’t think of what I want to say. :-(

“Why is this an issue now?”

Just look at who is in office now and you will know why it is an issue.
