Over the last 18 months artificial intelligence (AI) has been pushing the boundaries of what computers can do. OpenAI the company responsible for the explosion in AI applications thanks to its release of ChatGPT 3 last year, has recently taken a step that has sparked a lively debate about how society should handle the rapid advancement of AI technologies. They’ve suggested slowing down the release of certain AI capabilities, such as those that might be found in a future version of its AI models, to allow society to catch up and prepare for what’s coming next.
This cautious approach has led to a split in public opinion. On one side, there’s excitement about the potential of AI to transform our lives, as seen with OpenAI’s latest text-to-video model. On the other, there’s a sense of concern. For those in the workforce, the advancement of AI raises important questions about job security and the ethical implications of machines taking over roles traditionally held by humans. How good is AI with financial investing?
The biggest revolution is probably doable today—and they are holding back for now.
That is distributing the AI software in a compressed package that could be downloaded to cell phones.
They could then download updates.
At this point AI becomes impossible to kill—no way to unplug it.
In addition hackers or legitimate programmers could “enhance” their AI remotely.
We are very close to a super crazy world here—a Wild West of who knows what.
In a few years AI will be able to rig the market of your choice in your favor.

Jobs? There are LOTS of back office jobs that are going to be redundant pretty darn quick.
Lots of those “career” people filling a seat are going to be got gone.
Wall Street firms are already using certain AI Model for help in making financial decisions.
I’ve used ChatGPT to help me create a couple of complex Excel formulas, it was incredibly helpful in coming up with a solution and then helping create the formula and did it in about 5 seconds.

Yep. A lot of "tech" people who thought their jobs were safe as blue-collar jobs were replaced by robots are going to be in for a surprise.
Much like the 1980s, when white collar manual data-entry work as replaced by computers.
We’re not communist enough yet? Still too many books and people that actually know history and how to do things, hanging around?
