“my behind is getting raw from sitting on this fence”
I know the feeling. My life got better when I quit day trading.
My “hold” portfolio is up .5% today. Was up 1%.
“I quit day trading”
Ya ... different strokes for different folks ...
I’m addicted to the rush ... and I’m not kidding.
What a day ...got to the edge of the slope ...but no big slide. A set up like that doesn’t happen every day ..
WHAT a rush ....
Came out just fine
hit the print at 11.15 but inter web lag cost me 2pts
sqqq at 11.1301
held my options till .16 .... even
I hate to wait that long 3:30 can be a crap shoot.
hmmm ...
I don’t usually like to compare size ...
but for you .. 2.06% lean and green or should I say gold
I’ve been dipping in to mines for a bit and they moved a little today.
Good on you for a green day, and I bet your blood pressure
stayed good , and your not still shaking like a meth head ...
I can barely use this key board.
BUT .......it’s better then a bass boat
What broker are you using?
Are you using 2 screens?
Level 2 quotes?
I was going to pull the trigger on Q but a moose bit my sister and we all know how that turned out.
When an investment thread was first mentioned,I assumed it was going to be general sharing of investment ideas and strategies .These threads however have taken on the look of a pump and dump plan.
“11.15”
SQQQ has large holdings in bonds and uses derivatives to get 3x inverse QQQ. How they do it and what derivatives they use does not appear to be public knowledge. I was ignorant and just assumed they were shorting stocks.
I have never traded SQQQ so never bother to get the details.
Now I see they pay a quarterly dividend which at this level is pretty hefty.
How are they generating the cash flow for the dividends? Must have some terrific algorithms!
2:30 was about the time the wild ride began and I was happy that I had hung in there all day. After seeing that there was sell pressure with little prolonged movement, I began to think sell orders weren’t being promptly fulfilled. So, I decided to wait until after the 4:00 p.m. market close to see if the NDX would drop further as the day closed out. Sure enough the market started dropping more at the close and went down to 17910 at about 4:15. I then closed out part of my positions on SQQQ
when it went up to 11.17. I’ll be ready for another wild ride Monday.
I noted that all the other major tech stocks were down and the NAS100 was being boosted only by NVIDIA. I don’t think that the unrealistic high will last. Therefore, I’m positioning myself to take advantage of a correction when it happens.
“general sharing of investment ideas and strategies”
I would love to ...
But I talk to people who talk ... about what they would like to talk about.
So ... throw something out there and let’s see if we can go in that direction for a bit.
welcome to the party pal .....(that’s my Bruce Willis impression....I know you could tell)
sqqq and tqqq are the most direct way to take advantage of the movement of the NDX100
Both are 3xetfs..... one up t and one down s
” generating the cash flow for the dividends?”
great algos and .... they re-balance all the time ..
When they do, they take a charge, like getting a %of a % of a whole lot of trades. Both are susceptible to (slips).
The qs are not for holding. They are for swinging.. yes, that's a real trading term ... I swing trade.
The Qs are great to use with options, especially the weeklies.
It's a fast passed, adrenaline filled, habit forming experience.
Anyone interested in swinging the Qs should talk with their broker or a financial professional they know and trust.
Trading QQQ is a better fit for many people, although QQQ is an advanced derivative also, the moves are a bit slower and
less addictive. QQQ can be held over night without AS MUCH risk.
I think Eccl 10:2 can give a bit more insight on QQQ,
more of his space I think. remember .. not financial advise... for ENTERTAINMENT only

Ya caught me. I pumped up 575 million outstanding shares, then dumped my 109 shares just before the close yesterday, leaving the owners of the other 574,999,891 shares holding the bag.
Somebody call the SEC !!!
“I pumped up 575 million outstanding shares,”
Ya all you pumpy dumpy guys are the ones making inflation go up.
you should be ashamed of your self.
stop it .... ok?
Next I’m going to scam all those shareholders of that fruit company... Apple I think it’s called.
Ya ...who knew there was that much demand ... must be the pie.
Was that a liquidity injection I saw yesterday ?
When I saw that NDX 17900 the first time .. I just knew I was going skiing... when you look at the five day, you can really see it.... all most hit my call on a 17500 close but ...
in reality .. the base line moved. CURSE YOU NVDA
I would have looked like some kind of time traveler from the future if I had hit that number.
I noticed an inversion on the DXY/10yr Wednesday ...
head scratching ...
Thursday ...more pronounced
Friday .... o crap ... I think I get it now.
better bond buyers ..selling for better $$, then $$ going into market and metals.
Thoughts?
Thanks for taking the time to do this ping thing.
More folks seem to be making their way in here.
I know I'm enjoying it.
