However, the robber apparently then returned to Qatamin's store and tried to rob him again, this time threatening to kill him.

There are no words.

There was a sandwich shop in my city where this happened as well. A robber entered and wanted to rob the place. The woman’s response was to chop her lettuce harder with her large knife.

The thief got the message left.

Love that story! I don’t know what his wife was thinking, though.

“There are no words.”

Kind of narrows down the species involved, doesn’t it?

The old man took a horrible risk. The kid could have had a gun. The video says that 53% of robberies in Washington state involve a gun.

Replace that machete old man, with a mare's leg Chiappa 12 loaded with 00 Buck.

Next time someone pulls a knife on you Naif, touch it off in his general direction.

I agree, it is a great story. I think the wife did that because she knows how laws here tend to blame & charge the victims and she didn’t want her husband locked up.

“mare’s leg”

I haven’t heard that since Steve McQueen in “Wanted: Dead or Alive.”

How appropriate here, too!

It is clever. However, it is poorly executed. In this era of AI generated photos, they could have done much better.

In the not-too-distant future, smokers will look back fondly at that price. Just like we look fondly upon this...

I remember ordering cartons from an Indian Reservation in NY that included shipping. Glad I quit smoking years ago.

His wife wasn’t thinking.

Acting on pure emotion. Could have been easily cut and killed.
