EXCLUSIVE Don Henley can be grilled about 16 year-old prostitute OD'ing at his LA home in 1980 by lawyers for men he claims stole lyrics from Eagles' Hotel California album

A Manhattan judge has ruled that legendary Eagles singer Don Henley can be questioned over an incident in 1980 in which a 16-year-old prostitute suffered a drug overdose in his Los Angeles home.

The musician, 76, has accused memorabilia dealer Glenn Horowitz, Craig Inciardi and Edward Kosinski of stealing handwritten notes and lyrics for the Eagles' blockbuster 1976 album Hotel California.

All three have been accused of trying to sell the materials, worth more than $1million, and lying to auction houses, prospective buyers and cops about how they obtained them between March 2012 and December 2016.

Horowitz, 68, of Manhattan; Inciardi, 59 of Brooklyn, and Kosinski, 61, of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and criminal possession charges, and Horowitz to an extra charge of hindering prosecution.

Attorneys for Kosinski will introduce a statement from 1981, seen by DailyMail.com, written and signed by singer Henley in which he admits to trying to have sex with the underage girl and that he shared cocaine with her before she overdosed.

Henley was arrested on November 21, 1980 after an ambulance was called to his home when a 16-year-old sex worker overdosed at his Los Angeles property.

He told a Santa Monica probation officer he was depressed as he had separated from a long term girlfriend, was involved in a jet crash near Colorado and 'despondent about waking up every morning, not knowing if my group, the Eagles, had broken up or not'.

The rock star said he called up a 'Madam' who he claims appeared to be 19 or 20 years old and he shared some cocaine with her.

'She told me that she was only a temporary call-girl until she paid off a $2000 cocaine debt in San Diego,' Henley wrote in the statement.

I don’t love Don Henley as a person, but it might be hard to determine what happened 40 years ago.

The underage prostitute was there, doing drugs at Henley's house (she was arrested for prostitution). That part isn't in question, though she didn't "OD". This is the incident Henley wrote the song "Dirty Laundry" about.

Henley plead no contest to "contributing to the delinquency of a minor", paid a fine and probation. This isn't about that case, but some guys who ripped Henley off getting to use this incident to impeach him as a witness. They are hoping to embarrass Henley to force a settlement. Henley is worth at least $200M-$250M and still touring with the Eagles at large venues. This is probably personal for him to pursue it this far.

I have to say, for most men, having a dead 16-year-old female of any description on your property would be a serious problem.

Well, it's a good thing there were no dead girls at Henley's house. Still not good to have 2 underage prostitutes at your home doing drugs.

Something is not adding up. In the Daily UK article it shows the note Henley wrote recalling the events that happened. The girl never died in his house but got arrested. Other stories regarding this claim the girl died in his home. Which is it?

Jerry Lee had two wives die under suspicious circumstances, was investigated for one of them, accidentally shot his bassist and showed up at Graceland drunk with a gun, so it’s a toss-up.

Found this which appears to be from 1980:

Don Henley Arrested After Eagles Farewell Party

1980

The morning after throwing a farewell party for his band the Eagles at his Los Angeles home, Don Henley is arrested after calling 911 to get treatment for a 16-year-old prostitute who was apparently having a seizure.

The party was a gathering for crew members and associates of the Eagles, which were breaking up. As reported in GQ, Henley called a madam who arranged for the girl, who turned out to be 16 (Henley claims he did not know her age and did not have sex with her). When she showed signs of a seizure the next morning, Henley made the call and medical personnel arrived to find her naked. Hours later, police arrive to arrest Henley, who pleads no contest to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor that lands him a fine and two years' probation.

Henley claims he took the fall for the roadies who supplied the drugs. "I took complete blame for everything," he tells GQ. "I was stupid; I could have flushed everything down the toilet. I didn't want this girl dying in my house."

Henley's girlfriend, Maren Jensen, is in Dallas filming the horror movie Deadly Blessing.

He said he didn't have sex with her, but in the Daily Mail UK letter he wrote (back in 1980?), he stated he "attempted to make love" with her even after she was getting sick after doing cocaine with him.

Also in the Daily Mail UK Henley letter, he never mentions there was a party for the Eagles crew and associates at his house when the prostitute was brought over, it made it seem he was alone and mentioned he didn’t want to be around friends. So a conflicting story from Don Henley.

The Eagles were/are better than the Beatles. The two are almost not even of the same genre so it’s probably not fair to compare, I guess.

Beatles were a fad. Eagles have lasting quality, and are much better at harmonizing. Too bad they’re such libs, especially Henley.
