I appreciate every effort to make Jesus known to a world that does know who He really is, especially to a world that has false perceptions about Him. I appreciate those who are willing to think outside the box and find unconventional ways to get people interested in hearing about the Savior. And I appreciate Christians who are willing to invest large amounts of money to reach massive secular audiences. But I don’t appreciate efforts that, in the end, might do more harm than good.

It's God's responsibility to get US. We don't need to get Him.
Curious that those who proclaim “He gets us” are the ones who don’t get him........
I'm tired of hearing about the "hurting world" that needs Jesus. Most sinners are NOT hurting, and won't feel any hurt until after death. Actually, if you are following Christ closely, YOU will hurt much more than the world. It hurts to fight against the strong current.
Reach out and touch faith
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who cares.
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who's there
Feeling unknown and you're all alone
Flesh and bone by the telephone.
Lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer
Take second best, put me to the test
Things on your chest you need to confess
I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver,
Reach out and touch faith.
I don’t think these commercials are About leaving the lost. They are meant to shame Bible believing Christians into changing their views on social issues.
Reaching the lost. Geez, can’t type anymore…
From what I can see, Dr. Brown’s article fails to object to anything specific being said in this ad. He seems to mix his fears about what is not said with what is said. I think Dr. Brown has a problem.
The fact is Jesus is BOTH God and man and GRACE and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17).
Being Jewish, he may have legalistic issues, a general charaticstic of the Jews.
Sorry but I think Dr. Brown has a bad case of traditional-church & Old Covenant of the Law false doctrine about being under the law.
The truth is, the cross changed EVEYTHING. The Bible says we are NOT under the law but under grace (Rom.6:14).
Jesus gets me!? And here I thought it was all about my effort to get Him.
The idiots putting these out certainly don’t “Get Him”.
They are creating God in their own image.
A more honest ad would say “Satan, he’s out to get us or does his best to.”
Mikey would be one of the first and loudest to shout “Give us Barabbas.”
Satan : He Gets Us

It’s his wife, you know. He married a hippie liberal.
I think you are dead on. The group pushing these ads are connected with Sojourners, the ultra-left. They do support free choice, Palestine, LGBTQ+. It is all about trying to shame Christians.
BINGO!
I do think that we as Christians often “sanitize” Jesus too much; there is no doubt He spent much time with individuals with poor moral character and we as the church should be willing to do the same. BUT, and this is everything, as the author skillfully wrote, we need to preach Jesus as the I AM, the One who demands we come to Him in repentance. That’s the missing element of these commercials. Many, probably most, will reject that because they don’t recognize themselves as sinners who need to be born again. Too many churches don’t like the rejection and are attempting to soft-pedal the Gospel message; Truth is Truth, however, and telling a lost world lies about sin only helps pave that road to hell.
I l8ke the word trust better than faith. Trust is something you do with your heart, not just a one time prayer for salvation. True salvation is obedience.
