Putin is sacrificing ridiculous numbers of troops and materiel to take a bombed out shell of a small city. All of this is being done to burnish his reelection campaign. If the Ukies can keep killing Ruskies at a ration of 7 to 1, the war will not be popular in Russia for long.
Someone said 4000 trapped. Compared to a Stalingrad or operation Bagration of WW2 that’s small. But we also have smaller forces involved and I wonder about the so called “domino effect”.

Just listened to it this morning. I like this guy, watch him all the time. I feel very bad for the Ukrainian troops, people were saying for days they needed to get out of there, we kept watching the Russians close in and build the cauldron. Some people claimed they were out. Apparently wrong.
