Yep. As with the current practice of the wait staff showing up at the table with a hand-held device to accept payment, including tip, we no longer live in a civilized society. I’m struggling powerfully with that fact, but the evidence surrounds us and grows each day.

Actually many years ago in the early days of Legal Seafood restaurants you had to pay for your dinner before you ate. Of course 99% of restaurants did not do that.
