let's put aside the great debate on whether pineapple goes on pizza (it does, but that's not important right now). Peanut butter... does it pair well with bacon? What about a cheeseburger? How about both?
Sonic apparently thought so. In January, the fast food franchise offered a peanut butter bacon cheeseburger for between $6-7 and, nutty enough, tossed in a peanut butter bacon shake as a drink option. Both were available for a limited time and are no longer available on the menu.
Maybe that's for the best. The calories alone are as high as our skepticism. Peanut butter already has a best friend — jelly (also chocolate, when jelly isn't watching). Why add bacon and cheese when "PB" and "J" have been BFF's forever?

Actually it tastes good especially with a sour jelly like a sour cherry. Uf you’ve ever had Indonesian eat skewers called Sate its served with peanut sauce (like a fry thin peanut butter). Pork and beef grilled is on the sweet side the peanut butter complents it and the sweet sour jelly like a tamerand sauce completes it. It sounds weird ut give it a try.
Look up the recipe for Salsa Macha. Its originally from Veracruz Mexico. https://www.bonappetit.com/story/never-fail-spicy-peanut-sauce-recipe-salsa-macha Rick Bayless i think also did a YouTube vid on this sauce
I love Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. Good thing I tried it before I knew pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.
Thanks!
Killer Burger in Portland OR has one that has a “peanut butter” sauce. Kind of like Asian peanut sauce. It is pretty good.
Thai peanut sauce is good also.
NO. It is WRONG. Natural Law dictates that peanut butter is to pair, exclusively, with jam/jelly. (Preferably apricot, on toasted Orowheat Honey Wheat Berry bread, which of course is no longer available, this fact being yet further evidence of the communists’ plan to destroy Western Civilization.)
Gotta be fried in butter.
“When I was a kid I saw my buddy putting Peanut Butter on his ham cheese and mayo sandwich. A few years later I tried it and have been hooked ever since”
Two brothers I knew in my youth introduced me to the peanut butter sandwich spinkled liberally with Tang. It was pretty good, they also like PB and sugar sandwiches. PB and banana was my favorite next to PB and strawberry jam. PB and cheddar cheese was right up there too. Then there was Admiral Joe who swore by PB and dill pickle... it was crunchy but the PB overpowered the pickle and I couldn’t taste it - but the crunch was interesting.
Talk about weird combos...knew a girl who would eat the following all together...
Pancakes
Butter on pancakes
Over easy egg on pancakes
Ketchup on top of that
Topped with maple syrup
The mixture of egg yolk, ketchup and syrup seemed a sacrilege on the taste buds. I didn’t try...but I would guess it was tolerable.
I have no problem with pineapple and bacon pizza, pinapple and canadian bacon used to be offered at Shakey’s pizza back in the mid 60s, that was my sisters go-to. It was pretty good. Momma liked shrimp pizza. I always enjoyed veggie pizza heavy on the mushrooms and spinach, hold the onions. Dad was into spaghetti.
It can’t be worse than lab grown Japanese eel...on anything.

There’s an almost infinite list of “copy cat” recipes for White Castle/Krystal “gut bombs” on the Interwebs, and a surprising number of them include peanut butter in the ingredients.
Not that I’m inclined to try it, ....
Love PB and banana. I used to cut the bananas up to look like half inch thick squares and tell my coworkers they were pats of butter. I still eat pb and cheese about once a week.
