Nicholas Reeves is still beating his drum regarding an additional tomb space behind KV-62.
Yeah, "cuckoo" was my first thought.

(conversion of text from PDF via FreeConvert online, it's a little rough still; the PDF is on the Academia website -- signup may be needed, regardless, the permanent free level is generally sufficient -- and the original apparently appeared in something called Nile Magazine)

I don’t know much about these things, but don’t we have technologies like remote sensing that can answer questions like this?

So Tutankhamun was an early proponent of the Time Share business model?

There seem to be a lot of restrictions and rigmarole connected to what you can do physically there.

Interesting. I wonder what the Egyptian government plans on doing. Are they going to attempt to find out what’s behind there?

Are they going to attempt to find out what’s behind there? Only if Hawass can get his mug in front of the camera.

He’s not ‘in charge’ anymore; but there’s probably plenty of politics and ego going on even without him.

<< Only if Hawass can get his mug in front of the camera. >>
Hawas lost his positions long ago over his politics but even he was showing
these “revelations” long before he was let go. The original name painted over.
The golden mask was repurposed from a female mask and if I recall Tut was the
only ever entombment on the wrong side of a chamber. I forget which was what
But it was along the lines of kings always go to the left….always ! Tuts was to
the right

They did not expect him to die so quickly. Undoubtedly he had a tomb being made but these were not things you made overnight or even in a month or two.
Probably there were other tombs where the same thing happened but they were looted a couple of thousand years ago so we do not have the mostly complete funerary goods to compare and contrast.

There was a pretty good movie about Howard Carter locating Tutankhamun a few years ago. Sam Neil plays his benefactor. I always like movies with Sam in them.

If the guy who first opened the tomb hadn’t been killed by a mummy due to the curse a lot more would probably be known.
