The Hallmark Channel has race-swapped nearly the entire cast for their upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
Sense and Sensibility was the first novel written by Jane Austen and is set in the late 18th century. It follows two sisters Marianne and Elinor who find themselves in tough circumstances after the death of their father, who leaves his fortune to his eldest son from his first marriage. The two sisters, their mother, and their third sister leave their home and move in with a cousin.

I boycotted the recent BBC adaptation of Dickens' "Great Expectations" with black Estella and Jaggers.
They only do this because black people are not creative enough to come up with decent stories on their own. They need to appropriate our culture because they recognize that it is superior.
I will be awaiting this thrilling development with bated breath.
It’s not even our culture. Those of English heritage left to escape that nonsense.
I certainly hope their ratings suck and put an end to this crap.
If no one watches, it will eventually sink in...Hallmark doesn’t have the deep pockets of a Disney to keep churning out clinkers.
Too bad...the channel used to be mildly entertaining. Now, it just sux.
What a great idea, just like The remake of The Wonder Years. CANCELLED after two seasons. Season 2 was only 10 episodes so it was knowingly dead after season 1.
Just more anti-White BS. Why don’t they create their own stories instead of undermining existing ones?
make no sense and insults sensibility.
Will Hallmark’s anticipated new audience be entertained by it at all?
Apparently there are no good black authors writing about black protagonists. Du Bois must be rolling in his grave.
If Hallmark wants to capture the true essence of urban black ghetto culture they can film in Papua New Guinea, watching the natives roast a cadaver before devouring the human flesh from head head to toe. Then afterwards, using the skull to play a round of basketball. This is the winning platform of the democrat party.
To anyone with any sense of actual history the pics look wildly odd and out of phase. It isn’t just wrong it’s stupid. Unwatchable.
If it’s from a black author the story will be about racism. I never watch these programs with the racial recasting. Complete turn off of what could have been a good movie or series. It’s so fake.
Please! Next you'll be telling me H'wood will do a remake of "Ghostbusters" with all females....
Wait....uhhhhh.....nevermind.
How totally discordant and woke this is, like using a transgender male as a spokesperson for Bud Light. Know your audience. When will this insanity end (absolutely ridiculous and gratuitous). If I were a black actor, I would not get near this remake with a ten foot pole; it’s an embarrassment and demeaning to them. And it’s always some woke white liberal behind this kind of fiasco. Geez.
That same hyphen woulda worked well in the headline. W/o the hyphen, the headline is needlessly garbled.
And when this culturally appropriating adaptation inevitably flops, it will be because everyone’s “racist”, not because it was a crappy, preachy, boring mess.
Black is promoted as historically real when it isn’t. The viewer is supposed to not see the skin color of the Black English Earl
Talk about stunt casting...
