China Bans Cheap Knockoff EVs From Roads, Reason: They’re Too Dangerous! Senior Citizens' Are Angry!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G1ltZWzd9c
After all they are cheap 3 wheel pieces of shit. Literally no better than a golf car.
Hey, knock it off with those knock-offs!
If China cares, they must be really bad.
Hmmm, does this mean the Vietnamese card will be prohibited in China?
Ethiopia’s new EV program will be buying these from China. These micro-EVs are very suitable for middle tier Asian nations like Burma and Laos. Uruguay and Argentina
Typical range of these micro-EVs is 100 kilometers. Let’s admit that these are easier and cheaper to manufacture than ICE vehicle the same size. No ICE also means less maintenance. Same as all my yard maintenance tools are 120v electric via extension cords. Such as blower, edger and string trimmer.
Though I will always keep my lawnmower as ICE. Electric lawnmowers are underpowered. I have tried them out. A decently powered electric lawnmower (battery powered) would cost too much. At least $600-$700.
In town these will work fine. On a farm, or rural roads, these would work fine. Top speed is 40 mph. Be leery of government when the say they want to protect us.
Old age wins:
If the ‘cheap knock offs’ are more efficient than walking, taking a bus, a cab, biking for errands they win. Lack of ability (old age) quickens the market’s performance.
The Invisible Hand is always there.
