Tom Ambrose Wed 31 Jan 2024 18.23 EST Nine people have been injured after a suspected corrosive substance was thrown at a woman and two young children in south London.
The Metropolitan police were called to Lessar Avenue, Clapham at about 7.25pm on Wednesday, when the woman and two children were injured by a suspected corrosive substance.
A further six people – three members of the public and three police officers – were injured after coming to their aid. Five of those involved were taken to hospital.
Det Supt Alexander Castle said the officers’ injuries were minor, adding: “While tests are ongoing to determine what the substance is, at this stage we believe it to be a corrosive substance.

Acid attacks, intended to disfigure, are a favorite of Muslim men against women they are angry with.
Throwing acid in people’s faces is one of the worst things to do (short of when torture killers abduct the victims).
Not only searing pain but then never being able to see or else having a horror movie face for the rest of your life.
As low as woke people are even they should be taught this is wrong to do.
Isn’t diversity wonderful?
Publicly executing the perpetrator by slowly lowering him into a vat of acid would provide a significant deterrent effect.
In recent years, Britain has lead the work per capita in acid attacks. And, London has set a record for the number of attacks with knives.
Vinegar? Coca Cola?
