And don’t forget “THE ITALIANS”! :-)
Don’t worry about it; that happens to the best of us! :-)
Cool
When I first joined I began practicing HTML, and became one of the biggest culprits of forgetting to close tags.
I remember getting blasted a lot until I got good enough for things to get automatic. Still from time to time I forget, but now if you mess up, it leave things blank.
There were a lot of FReepers born in the 50’s & 60’s that passed.
More than I would have thought…
Hugh and Series Congratulations !!!
Thank you very much for the post. I miss Old Atlanta and A+Bert the most. I read FR almost every day but seldom post anymore.
AWAKENING/ENLIGHTENING for me happened on NOV. 3rd, 1998.
11-28-1997 here.
I’m old so these are from memory with parity errors:
FR highlights:
well stun my beeber
pics or doesn’t count
the Dan Rather Bush letter forgery
the 911 thread
I was a couple yeats behind you, but still remember when my beeber was stuned.
Yes we lost a lot of them.
With the Lords blessings I will still be posting and surfing the forum for another 26 years,
Heck, I’ll only be 92. My grandmother lived to be 95, and my aunt, her daughter lived to be 98.
It could happen.
I wonder how many of us "old timers" here are still posting.
People make mistakes.
A few days ago, details not important but, the gist is that someone posted about what a fine place FR was in ‘74.
Ah, yes. The wild west of the internet.
LOL
I was still using Windows 95 then.
Yet it still had DAS to get in deep. Now we have all become users. Oh for the good ole days.
That's the letter that taught me how to HTML superscript and subscript:
Dan Rather.
Remember the weekend threads that were just for fun...childhood memories, and such?
Vanities were VERY scarce back in the day, but we had fun thread vanities on the slow weekends.
Were you ever on the FR, but off this site chat room?
Those were the wild west days of FreeRepublic with flame wars and opuses.
