The target audience for this thinks life is generally miserable, so I can’t see this remake succeeding.

You can easily use the basic plot and do a new movie without it being a remake. Since this is going to flop anyways I doubt it will help get any more ticket sales

"The Wizard of Oz" was already remade, in 1939. The remake, starring Frank Morgan, Judy Garland, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley and Ray Bolger was a good movie, but not as good as the 1925 original starring Oliver Hardy (before he teamed up with Stan Laurel).

I had a black supervisor who marveled over the creativity of the black remake of Karate Kid. Clearly she didn’t realize it was a stolen idea from years ago.
Hey, I’m sure that even though over 60% of black kids in this country are born into single family home jerks like this portray this movie as an idyllic existence for them and somehow fit white racism into it.
Might be worth watching if they do all the dialogue in ebonics and jive - sadly we no longer have Barbara Billingsley with us to do the translation.

As I imagine it is with many, I’m sick of having this stuff shoved down my throat ad nauseam.
I’m beginning to theorize that it is being done to deliberately foster white resentment. It’s part of the program to devolve this country into racial anarchy. While that sounds rather conspiratorial it fits to a T.
Too many involved in this stuff have a vested interest in racial hate, division, and violence.
It is most definitely not being done with the goal of fostering racial harmony.
