Former President Donald Trump‘s penchant for punishing GOP detractors is trickling down to Congress as some of his most ardent supporters are using loyalty to the former president as a litmus test for the Republican Party.
Since launching his bid for the 2024 presidential election, Trump has kept a continuous calculation of those who have thrown their support behind him and, more importantly, those who have not. For those who have considered other candidates, the former president has been quick to decry their disloyalty and even vow to make them suffer politically.
“Bob Good won’t be electable when we get done with him,” Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign, told the Cardinal News.
That threat is in reference to Freedom Caucus Chairman Bob Good (R-VA), who threw his support behind Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) last year. The endorsement has angered Trump and his allies, with several falling in line behind the president to target the Virginia Republican.
“Here we have Bob Good, who has doubled down on his endorsement for DeSantis and his clear disdain and hate for President Trump,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a staunch supporter of Trump, told the Washington Examiner. “He doesn’t think President Trump is electable. Bob Good is disloyal, which means you can’t trust him. People need to know this.”
Good brushed off Greene’s comments, arguing that he would rather focus on government spending and securing the border rather than internal disputes.
“I don’t have time to waste commenting on every silly comment made in a House Conference meeting or on Twitter/X,” Good told the Washington Examiner in a statement. “But if members are looking to punish conservatives for trying to keep our promises, good luck keeping a majority.”

This sounds like a division between those who think public service means government is supposed to serve the public and those who think it means that the public is supposed to serve the government. Doesn’t sound like a bad division to me.

The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
The vast majority of our pols have shown themselves to be Deep State.
We need to do two things: Stop letting Deep State select our candidates for us.
And secure our damn elections.

I’m old enough to remember the story about how the Founders rejected the idea of being loyal to politicians.
Trump was raked over the coals his first term by people he thought were loyal to him.
So he cant be too careful.
Hopefully he’s learned that politics is a snake pit of rivalry and backstabbers.
Trump has to discard his first term naivete about politicians.

Bob Good is a great leader of the House Freedom Caucus. We need more people like him in Congress, not less. Just because he doesn’t support Trump doesn’t mean he should be expelled.

Just because he doesn’t support Trump *in the primary* doesn’t mean he should be expelled.
That seems to be all that Golden Shower has.
So, a poster points out that Trump allies try to take down a Congressman with a 100% conservative voting record and the leader of the most conservative caucus in the House (and far, far more conservative than Trump), because he endorses DeSantis (who also is far more conservative than Trump). As a result, in the space of a few minutes Trump Freepers attack the poster with comments like “toxic with TDS”, “crapping in the punchbowl”, “last remaining morsal of sanity”, and “mind poison”.
At the same time, in spite of their non-stop attacks on “DeSanctimonius”/”Meatball”/etc. and his supporters, they talk about how this place is overwhelmed with attacks on their godlike idol, Donald Trump. They forget that, when the general election draws nearer, they will need to get out of their fishbowl and expect DeSantis followers to bow to their demands.

Border?
J6 political prisoners?
Massive Gov’t debt?
Massive crime wave?
Election fraud?
Attacks on a Republican presidential nominee to keep him on ballots?

We need to fight to place constitutional caps on middle class income (income per tax filer less than the highest federal salary excluding those of constitutional officers) and residential property taxation.
Campaigning for a constitutional residential property taxation cap could put New Jersey and New England electors into the Trump column.
We need to step up our game.
Trump can win the black American vote by running on this:
Promise to remove United States from the United Nations
Saving about 12 billion dollars per year !!! (I read it was 12 billion in 2021)
Take the 12 billion per year and re insert this in helping the black community getting out of poverty, out of ghettos by re investing the money 💰 into infrastructure, housing , vocational schools in cities like Detroit , Baltimore Washington and also to cleanup the shit 💩 in San Francisco that greasy newsome refuses to do
Kill 3 birds with one stone
Win the election
Get us out of United Nations
Help the black community get out of poverty
And maybe have a running chance in California (but doubt it )
