Chad McCrary, a beloved champion bodybuilder, died earlier this month. He was 49.
McCrary’s brother, Lance McCrary, took to social media and posted a message from Mutant CEO Jim McMahon.
Mutant is a sports fitness brand and sponsored McCrary.
“Like everybody, I’m very sad and stunned,” McMahon said in video. “It’s a hard one.”
McMahon also spoke about the legacy McCrary left on the athletic community.
“What I’m always gonna take away is just what we all got to experience, in our group at least, with him, is just the camaraderie. It’s always everything that all of us try to achieve in this life is having good friends and good camaraderie.”
“I don’t have much to say

Clot shot or steroids?
RIP
Long before covid, lots bodybuilders have been dying of heart attacks, here’s a list of 21 famous ones who did

Combination?
Doing them at the level bodybuilders use them is risky. I hate it but I'm sure he was aware of the risks.
You can do that for many sports where folks are pro and competitive at that level, especially if you open it up to other health problems such as concussions, knee and hip problems, etc.
***There’s a line you cross where you’re no longer doing it for fun or health.***
It becomes the source of income, or it’s feeding ones pride, and folks push themselves to a point where it’s actually detrimental to ones health.

I would guess that being in a wheelchair would make him susceptible to clotting. If he got the mRNA or DNA vax(which we KNOW is associated with clotting) it could have been the combination which put him over the line.
Very sad to see such a inspirational, motivated person go down for any reason.
Or entirely separate from the politics he probably was a naturalist )except for the obvious steroid use for which there are lots of tell tail physical signs I observe in that photo) he died from massive, chronic steroid use.
I order and observe ultrasounds every day. In my now three years of observation of thousands of ultrasounds I can tell you we are not seeing increased “clots” and certainly not the massive clots funeral directors who wanted 15 minutes of fame which has long expired in LIVING physiology.
Most likely the steroids. These guys today use way too much and it wrecks their organs.
Myocarditis?
It is very rare for a top bodybuilder to be clean. I haven’t seen a natural bodybuilder win a general competition in decades. And the actors who say they beef up for a role by lifting a lot? They DO lift a lot but also take a mass of pills.
Adding 20 pounds of muscle when one first starts lifting can be done fairly fast if your starting point is American Standard Sloth, but after the first year of lifting? Building more muscle is slow, hard work. Me? I don’t have the genetics of a strongman. More the runner type. I lift regularly and try to push myself but at 5’8” I doubt I could break 165 tops. Without dedicating all my time to it? Probably 150-155 would be my max fit muscle weight.
Many could get bigger than me with good genetics but the folks winning competition in bodybuilding? It takes more.
Or both. See no reason it couldn’t be both.
