Stokes are strange. Symptoms can disappear after an hour or so but then you still die many hours later. Or the symptoms never disappear - just get worse and you never recover.

She might be confusing stroke with seizure. My father gets the occasional mal-seizure. Once he’s been in the hospital for a few days, he’s usually back to his old self.

We had a soldier in our Army section. 26 yrs old and died of a stoke back in the mid 90s. He departed for temporary duty in Egypt and the doctors said it was a rare high altitude stoke from flying. Arrived Friday had the stoke and spent the weekend alone in his barracks room. Come Monday they found him still alive but the hospital said brain dead. Family pulled the plug after some time. Huge loss. Very good person and soldier.
