The president of the Heritage Foundation confronted hosts at the World Economic Forum Thursday in Davos, Switzerland, challenging claims that the WEF is protecting democracy and calling so-called elites "part of the problem."

The moderator, British international affairs expert Sir Robin Niblett, at one point asked Roberts about former President Trump's promise of "retribution" if he regains office, and that the World Economic Forum's purported defenses of liberal democracy could be "swept under the rug" by the mogul.

"I'll be candid here, because I think I've been invited here to be candid: The kind of person who will come into the next conservative administration is going to be governed by one principle, and that is destroying the grasp that political elites and unelected technocrats have over the average person," he said.
"I will be candid and say that the agenda that every single member of the [next] administration needs to have is to compile a list of everything that's ever been proposed at the World Economic Forum and object to all of them wholesale."

Yeah, they are smarting from it LOL. He gained nothing. All he did was give them oxygen. He did nothing to change or diminish WEF.
And he paid them 100k at least. Probably way more.
“Personally, I like taking the fight to these a**holes in their own venue.”
And they laugh all the way to the bank. You have to be invited, that isn’t random. If you accept, you have to pay them 52k for a membership, and then 19k per ticket.
Actually taking the fight to them would mean declining invitations, working damned hard to organize the shunning of any person who attends and all of the corporate sponsors.
They love it when they get paid, and when leaders tacitly recognize their “importance” by attending. It doesn’t matter to them what you say, it only matters that you attend.
I guess Jesse Owens should have stayed home.
He never inspired anyone. All he did was embolden the Nazis. That’s why they won WWII.
And that Reagan guy…never should have paid for the mic.
The argument that Jesse Owens affected the outcome of WWII is absurd virtue signaling.
Nice try. I didn’t make that argument. “inspiration”
The ripple effect of actions like Owens in Berlin and Kevin Robert’s in Davos and Reagan in NH is not to be underestimated, as is being done by some folks.
But…the “Roberts is a useful idiot” view being held by do-nothing surrendercons…now THAT argument, I endorse.
MORE AND MORE PEOPLE GETTING ON BOARD.
TO HELL WITH THE ELITES.
