I’ m sure they can be mean as a junk yard dog around nesting season.
Most birds can, and if they’re big and muscular, look out! (I was almost blinded and crippled by a rooster once.)
But I’ve made friends with ‘wild’ Canada geese who let me get very near their babies. Things with critters depend on nurture, as well as nature.
