The NASA-backed Peregrine One moon lander is now hurtling back towards Earth after last week failing on its historic journey.
Astrobotic, which had been hoping to hoping to land the first American-made spacecraft on the Moon in more than 50 years, predicts its spacecraft will likely burn up in the atmosphere in the next few days, the BBC reports.
Experts had been working with NASA and other space companies to find the most safe and responsible way of ending Peregrine’s mission.

“Woke hiring practices come with a cost. Always costly. Sometimes deadly.”
We will die at the hands of DEI.
Sounds like Wile E. Coyote slingshotting an anvil into the air, and where it falls …
Consider that when homosexuality was universally condemned and mostly criminalized:
- We reached the moon in record time ahead of the Russians.
- We contributed to a rapid vaccine against polio.
- We invented the microchip.
- We were among the safest and freest nations on earth.
Don't view it while eating or drinking anything. Odds are you will spew or choke on the opening paragraph, I kid you not.
(When I looked up the Artemis page on Wikipedia, they listed creation of a graphic comic as a major accomplishment of this NASA project. That's how farcical things have gotten.)
Sez the folks who messed up in the first place. I think I’ll play it safe, and wear a hard hat until the end of the week.
Rumor has it that the probe contains all the Epstein files and tapes, which were planned for Moon storage.
Look for a test of our thermo-nuclear asteroid defense system to make sure it doesn’t return.
>> We will die at the hands of DEI.
Maybe, if we don’t first freeze in the dark from the climate nazis’ folly.
“Early indications suggest the failure was caused by a faulty valve in Peregrine’s propulsion system that leaked pressurized helium, rupturing a tank just hours after the flawless departure from Cape Canaveral.”
Hope Astrobotic gets it right next time. Not easy doing what they are doing. Wish them well.

Landing the moon lander is much easier for NASA when accomplished in a studio.
We will die at the hands of DEI.

Especially now that the FAA is hiring people with severe handicaps and mental problems to met DEI requirements ...
The return was accomplished via a planned burn specifically to return the vehicle to earth where it will burn up in the atmosphere.
We can’t reach the moon today. Extremely doubtful we reached it in 1969. 😏
I recall one of Obammy’s firsts, he replaced the white head of NASA with a black one. Concurrently with the directive to make the space agency ‘more’ diverse...smh.
The space shuttles were grounded soon thereafter. Still...smh
You are just confirming the incompetence of the journalists matches the incompetence of NASA.

“With Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. We will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish the first long-term presence on the Moon.
Then, we will use what we learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.
Oops is right.
