The Federal Aviation Administration now says that the way to make the skies safer is to make their workforce more diverse, including hiring people with “severe” intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disabilities. No, this is not satire; see below, via Fox News:
FAA’s diversity push includes focus on hiring people with ‘severe intellectual’ and ‘psychiatric’ disabilities
The FAA says people with ‘severe’ disabilities are the most under-represented segment of the federal workforce.
The Federal Aviation Administration is actively recruiting workers who suffer "severe intellectual" disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website.
‘Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,’ the FAA’s website states. ‘They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.’
The initiative is part of the FAA’s ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ hiring plan, which claims ‘diversity is integral to achieving FAA's mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond.; The FAA’s website shows the agency’s guidelines on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23, 2022.
Heaven forbid that the government should focus their hiring on people that are smart, have experience, and who are not in need of a psychiatrist.
This astounding statement and focus by the FAA made me understand what is wrong with so much of the Biden administration: It’s full of people who lack the mental capacity to handle their job.
The Defense secretary, and the rest of the war cabinet, apparently doesn’t have enough intellectual capacity to know that you should inform someone, especially the president, when you are going to be out, especially if that “out” means incapacitated...

Well we had a guy at our church who would wear a Superman t-shirt and wanted to fly to California without mechanical assistance. That is, he thought he could fly just like Superman.
So he’d probably be a good match for the FAA. If a plane was in trouble he could just fly up, grab the fuselage and bring the aircraft safely back to the airport.
(He did wind up in a psychiatric hospital after a while)
So, they’re looking for woke Democrats.
You could get twice as much work out of a bi-polar person.
Is it wrong to take advantage like that?
I imagine they will be easy to find out of Biden’s 10 Million illegals.
I feel sorry for anyone who has to fly these days.
I also feel sorry for humor sites such as the Babylon Bee. The stuff coming out of the Biden administration is simply insane. How can a satire writer possibly keep up?
So much of what government does is crazy.
Maybe hiring an actual crazy person will help.
The job posting should read: “If you can’t do the job, or are a severe danger to yourself or other people, WE WANT YOU! Follow the link to apply.”
“Sane and capable people, especially White/Christian/male/hetero don’t bother applying. You won’t get the job”.
And this is how a great country eliminates itself.
Sorry folks - the ONLY way to reform Fed.gov and save the republic is Fed.gov bankruptcy.

This is just one reason I don’t travel by airplane and never will again. The last flight I took was like hell in the sky. Between the sardine like packed plane and snarky flight attendants, I swore I would never fly again. That was 10 years ago. I haven’t changed my mind.
But isn’t this the same government that believes Trump supporters, “right wing extremists”, “bitter clingers” and religious people are mentally ill? Looks like an opportunity.
