Cannabis users who contracted Covid-19 had better outcomes and reduced mortality compared to people who do not use marijuana, according to new research presented at a conference in Hawaii this week. A presentation on the study, which was conducted through a review of the medical records of more than 320,000 individuals, was delivered on Wednesday at the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) in Honolulu.
“Marijuana smokers had better outcomes and mortality compared to non-users,” the authors of the study wrote in their conclusion. “The beneficial effect of marijuana use may be attributed to its potential to inhibit viral entry into cells and prevent the release of proinflammatory cytokines, thus mitigating cytokine release syndrome.”
To conduct the study, a team of researchers analyzed data on 322,214 patients from the National Inpatient Sample, a U.S. government database that tracks hospital use and outcomes.

Medicine....that you smoke
322 k records examined, 2.9 k were users “said they used marijuana; “ ? 13.9 % of non users died? Do these numbers really make sense to you?
Growing it is pretty easy. Insect free, deer hate it. You can just stick it in the ground if you don’t want an elaborate indoor operation. You have to monitor it for bud rot outdoors.
Smoking it is VERY unhealthy
I read back during the crisis that tobacco smokers derived a therapeutic benefit against COVID-19 lung infections. These laboratory-engineered bio-weapon residuals will impact humanity for a lifetime and beyond.
Which is why doctors were wearing nicotine patches during Covid
Marijuana consumption is up dramatically. And based on the current culture, it is obviously beneficial, right? BTW, it is extreme prevalent in the black community and we all know how healthy and mellow that demographic is.
Sure, it cures moles, colds and sore butt holes, makes childbirth a pleasure...
I'm thinking maybe the "One World Cabal" is working to find ways to shorten the human lifespan.. And the demonrats make a lot of money selling dope, so.....there's that.
I worked in a hospital during Covid.. there were no crack addicts admitted or dying of COVID either. Crack saves. The heroin addicts were not dying of COVID either. Heroine saves.
Never mind the lives destroyed by drug use and abuse. The horrors children suffer from having drug addled parents is okay too.

More Teens Who Use Marijuana Are Suffering From Psychosis
More potent cannabis and more frequent use are contributing to higher rates of psychosis, especially in young people

If his is true, it’s about the only ‘massive study’ done on Covid.
Not buying.
I don’t care if adults smoke it as much as they want. As long as they don’t drive. One thing I have noticed from people that consume it, Almost universally they don’t seem to get smarter.
Hard to catch Covid in the basement of the parents’ home.
Teenager=rapidly developing brain.
Add to that a psychoactive drug.
Psychosis is a logical possibility
I have a cousin that started using drugs stolen from his mother in his early teens. In his late teens he started using Marijuana.
In his early twenties he developed Schizophrenia.
A sad, sad outcome for a bright young man. His disease is somewhat controlled today with other drugs. He can take care of himself but is incapable of working.
He does still suffer from paranoia.
If your children experiment with marijuana do your best to discourage the use.
Pot smokers would tend to be younger and therefore less affected by covid. Duh.
“...it is extreme prevalent...”
I grew up in the era when MJ was just getting started and we knew what it was, an intoxicant just like alcohol. My problem with it is not necessarily crime as the public roadways.
And this “latest” study just indicated a greater percentage of use is not really the improvement of healthcare. It’s like grabbing 100 covid patients in a hospital and finding that last year only 25 people drove a honda but this year 29 did so I guess hondas are the preferred car for covid patients? And since the number of patients selected was the same, the percentge rose, so the assumption, which has nothing to do with the illness, is supposed to be correct. Spin. Wonder who funded that one and how many did it take till they could get the result they wanted?

I’m guessing cannabis users tend to be younger than non-users.
Young people were generally not so much at risk from COVID as the very elderly.
Gummies would be better, and no, all mine. 😁
Anything right now would be a plus. All functions all virus’d to the max. Awful stuff.
