I have seen recommendations for including chia seeds in the diet for a lot of health reasons. One of the biggest reasons for me is that chia has a LOT of fiber, which most people don't get enough of.
So I jumped into the trend. I mainly eat them in chia "pudding" I prepare the day before. really like this for breakfast with some sliced almonds and/or berries.
Any other Freepers out there on board?
Sounds great!
I had first diverticulitis attack over 13 years ago. was told not to eat a lot of stuff. moderation and chewing takes the ‘itis’ out of it.
only a couple of flare-ups since - called the dr and asked for the antibiotic cocktail. no other hospital visits since the first one when I hadn’t a clue what was going on.
Never knew Chia seeds would help lose weight. giving this a shot. if they are soaked, I really don’t think they’d hurt.

Good luck and prayers up. I had surgery for ‘Di’ awhile back, needed some colon removed. As far as losing weight, I’ll try other ways.
