So, as to the DDT, guess we should not go fishing off the LA coast around Catalina Island. Why didn't they vacuum up the DDT back 10-15 years ago when it was discovered. Surely that would be technically acheivable with robotic equipment and suction hoses, suck of 90% of the liquid or something.
For the munitions, what ignore them or destroy them in place?

Interesting. Now just leave the stuff alone, since it’s not doing any harm down there at 3,000 feet. Most marine life is within 20 meters of the surface, or so I heard somewhere.
