“Washington’s mother, Corine Goodman, said the shooter should have stopped firing as soon as there was no longer a threat.”
That is what the customer did!
The robber was pointing his gun at someone else, when shot.
Not “fleeing”.
no mother should fear that her baby be shot when robbing other people
too long for a bumper sticker, but some welfare mothers are wide enough
"Nyaaaah! I know what it's like to be black! Nyaaah!"
All joking aside, this was a righteous ruling. Rare in these times.
Sh'explains why so many are moving to Texas these days.
I want a cottage in Helotes.Where the sheriffs wear blue jeans and a badge with sidearms on their belts.
He’s not a career criminal anymore ....
Saved a lot of future victims
Nine times with one bullet. Impressive.
Texas is unusual but not unique in its appreciation of the use of armed force against robbers. That said, this case is at the perimeter of what is legally acceptable due to the connotation of vigilante justice. The exoneration of the citizen who shot and killed the robber may reflect a change in public mood toward favoring the use of lethal force against robbers.
GOOD!..... more of Satan’s animals need to be put down!

Same name, same age, same skin color...
If we’re talking the same perp, holy cow.
Love to get a look at the dead guy’s rap sheet.
I’m thinking mommy may have left out quite a bit when she was talking about her dead son.
Let's hear what Clint Smith has to say on this subject: Clint Smith - The Truth About Terminal Ballistics
Grand Juries apparently are advised of victim’s rapsheet.
In “regular” jury cases, his history cannot be considered.
Thank God this was in Texas.
Had this happened in California, the “vigilante” would be held w/o bail (in a no-cash bail state) and sent to prison for life.
Taco Takeout
Fi ally some good news. Folks in that resteraunt had a “reasonable suspicion that their lives were in danger”, and in many states, that is enough to justify self defense- it doesn’t matter that the object the perp had was fake, he made I seem as though it was real, which was enough to justify self defense action agaisnt him. IF they had gambled and thought “well maybe it isn’t a gun”, and did nothing g to protect themselves, and it turned out to be a gun, many innocent lives could have been taken that day-
Thr perp is the only person responsible for what happened to him. He made a stupid decision to make like he was armed and to rob folks after giving off that Impression. Had he done what normal people do every day I stead of deciding g to rob people, he would still be alive- he made .a very stupid decision that day, and paid the ultimate price!
[[and in defense of property]]
SADLY many states have nearly or total,y done away with that- “defense of property”
Back during the riots in California when the trucker Reginald Denny was hit in the head with a brick and nearly died, folks in the area were on the rooftops of their stores with guns to protect their merch- and the state made a huge issue out of that and told the folks that they had no right to do so.
I can’t remember now if any store owner shot perps breaking into their store, but I do remember the store owners being threatened not to shoot.
It used to be that if someone tried to forcibly take something from so eone, the victim had a right to protect not just their own life, but their property too
Say WHAT???
That's one heck of a bullet.
From what I saw of the vid months ago, I probably wouldn’t have taken his last shot, but I wasn’t there, so who knows? Good to know the perp is not going to be a burden on the taxpayers.
The actual shooting itself, fully justified..
The post threat removed execution shot to the head after he was down and walking out the door and pouring his water on the corpse, while I can understand the emotion to do that, that’s where you get into legal problems.
