Ex-CIA analyst says intel agencies to be politically active again in 2024 election: 'Significant problem'

A Georgetown University professor who spent 12 years as a CIA intelligence analyst is warning that DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) efforts and the overall politicization of the intelligence community have become a "significant" problem and that he is confident those agencies will attempt to interfere with the 2024 election similar to their efforts in 2020.

"My guess is that the the proverbial deep state within the intelligence community will reemerge because presumably a Republican candidate will again be seen as a threat to the internal policies that many intelligence people like," Dr. John Gentry, author of the new book, "Neutering the CIA: Why US Intelligence Versus Trump Has Long-Term Consequences," told Fox News Digital.

Within days of the bombshell New York Post story that detailed the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop in the lead-up to the 2020 election, 51 former intelligence officials signed onto a letter in an attempt to discredit the laptop, saying it "has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."

From a political standpoint this might be one of the greatest dangers we face. The entire idea of a republic becomes academic if its own security/intelligence forces are manipulating elections.

Honestly it’s the main reason why I will vote for Trump again (assuming he gets the nomination). He must have traditional America in his heart or this rogues gallery of DEI activists, powerful elites, rich internationalists, shady bureaucrats, feminists, neocons, Trans rights, former spies and above all Leftist Democrats would not hate him so.

As Gentry said the only way out if this is mass firing of leadership in all intelligence organizations. A coup and one very widespread and deep—-traditional America is in that much under assault.

With that particular community, simply firing eouldn't be enough, because they would continue to use their connections to muck around. Those fired would need to have security cleatances stripped, and made it known that their whereabouts and contacts could be monitored at any time (assuming they aren't in jail).

With great power comes great responsibility. Anyone engaged in political games at the intelligence agencies should be looking at execution or life. This is the most dangerous thing for the average American. A government of the government, by the government, for the government should not stand.

Wonders whether the U.S. (since the neutering of Gen. Patton by Eisenhower) has the mojo/masculinity to perform the kind of self-surgery you’re describing through to completion. Or whether the patient will bleed out and expire on the table.

Bonzo’s “seventeen intelligence communities” should be shut down from now until after the elections are over and the ballots have been counted. Look what their insurrectumy gave us back in 2020. Four years of commie crap.

What they are doing is exactly what insurrection means. The penalty should be death.

The intel signers’ purpose was to protect candidate Biden and to invent a salient talking
point (a point which Biden seized upon and used to good effect in a presidential debate).

Not just our intel agencies.

Anyone else still wondering what Chrisopher Steel was doing in Italy and Canada in 2016...

We just saw yesterday an in-depth documentary on the fraudster known as Obozo. Clear Obozo is a CIA-fabricated reality, which positively proves our intelligence agencies have been working on the destruction of this Country for a long, long time. JFK’s assassination is another example of their handicraft. After all this time, it is rational to conclude that nothing official will be done to rectify any of the past illegal activity and the criminal enterprise knows it. One thing is certain, this fabricated reality can’t go on the way it’s going on. Something’s going to snap.

“the only way out if this is mass firing of leadership in all intelligence organizations”

That will be a temporary fix at best.

Much of the Deep State is career officials who cannot be fired.

The only way to get rid of them is to abolish their entire branch, division or agency.

Is all this national security secrecy really worth it—or has the cost finally outweighed the benefits?

“ But it took a significant step forward, or not, depending on your perspective, when President Obama signed an executive order designed to improve diversity and inclusion in the federal workforce.”

“ Gentry told Fox News Digital that discussions about personal politics didn’t happen during his time at the CIA but that sources in the intelligence community during the Obama years told him that standard was largely “gone” and political activism was “common.”

The USA was murdered November, 2008 by The Transformer, Obama.

Unfortunately, we need a military coup to stop the Deep State.

There is no other solution.

And this military coup cannot come from the top, because the senior officers in the military are counted among the enemy.

So basically, there have to be 2 coups. First, a coup within the military to oust the generals aiding and abetting the Deep State...and then, second, a military coup to wrest control from the Marxists within the Deep State.

Interesting because wasn’t it Eisenhower as POTUS that worked to discredit McCarthy? McCarthy has since been validated by uncovered documents like the Venona files to have been more or less correct. That is the US had been and was currently being infiltrated by Communist subversives elements and McCarthy eliminated many of them.

The more I learn of Eisenhower the more I wonder if in some ways he wasn’t the father of Neo-Cons.

I agree with both of you.

Multiple layers of coups will be needed, including elimination of branches. Also coups of media and education leadership will have to follow. Otherwise if we only eliminate deep state leadership in intelligence agencies won’t the Marxist like system just slowly start repeating the process again and in a term or two replace the patriots again?

Honestly I’m a bit skeptical because of these facts that it will happen—it would be a daunting task. I hope I’m wrong.

In Eisenhower’s farewell speech he basically admitted he had been conned by the Deep State that grew significantly under his nose.

Here are some excerpts:

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience.

The total influence — economic, political, even spiritual — is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government.

We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex.

The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.

We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields.

In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research.

Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite.”

If you read the Eisenhower speech excerpt I gave you notice the word “spiritual” is there.

Imho he is stating that evil forces have taken over the Deep State.
