Wow. This mom was invoking the “My body, my choice” slogan of abortion-rights activists to defend her 6-year-old daughter's refusal to let me, the doctor, look at her daughter’s throat.
I have been a family doctor for nearly 34 years. Until recently, I saw no connection between politics and parenting. Left-of-center parents were no better and no worse parents, on average, than right-of-center parents. Some left-of-center parents were Too Harsh, some were Too Soft, and some were Just Right; and the same was true of right-of-center parents.

That is so true. Parents are doing their children no favors by the permissive or “gentle parenting” that so many are now practicing. Their children grow up with no empathy, no recognition of boundaries, and no ethics. Then at age 17 or 18 they join ANTIFA and the parent’s role switches to banker and bail-bondsman.
No woke azz idiots in the family or the grandkids... No clt shots in any of them. All very conservative, they hunt, fish and 3 out of 4 were military and the 4th works for DoD.
So the conservative gene was passed on.
nearly every liberal parent I know kids are out of control. They are either on drugs, depressed, and or struggling over what sex they are and should be attracted too.
The only conservative parents I know with similar issues are those who consistently interact with liberal ones which undermine everything they try to teach them.

I didn’t realize how smart my parents were until I was about 25. By the time I was 40, I realized they were geniuses!
