Would be interesting to learn how much of which power/recharging source was used...

“This incredible feat proves that EVs can be just as capable as ICE vehicles, as long as you have the proper planning and ingenuity.”
Uh, NO it doesn’t.

I don’t see the big deal, 1800 miles per month. That a 26 hour trip in a gas powered car average speed of 70 miles per hout. A hell of a lot cheaper to.

Circumference of da Erf = ~ 24,000 mi.
Half = 12,000 mi
10 Months = ~7305 hr.
Average speed? 1.64 mph!

How’d they get over the hump of the Antarctic Ice Wall?

Walking speed: 3 mph. They could have walked quicker! ( 3 man team with 2 pulling the sleeping fellow.)

Omitting the AIRLIFTS to get the EV onto (and probably off of) the North Polar ice, and again at Antarctica, Danny Liska did that on a BMW motorcycle in the 1960s. And HE rode it through the Darien Gap, which I'll bet they didn't. And he didn't have a train of support vehicles, either. (He did have to take a couple of breaks when he flew home to Nebraska to get more clothes, parts and money.)

North Pole to South Pole?
The north pole is surrounded by water and ice. Did they drop the car on the north pole by airplane and then they drove over the ocean to get to Canada and then through the jungles of the Darian Gap (no roads) all the way to Terra De Fego, and then cross the waters of the Antarctic to get to the south pole?
Somehow, I think they got some type of help with this commute which makes the pole to pole trek claim a hoax.

Wow!... didn’t know that the south pole even had roads to it!
What a pile of BS this must be.

unless the old top gear guys were involved I would not watch.
I remember they had some kick ass trucks to reach the north pole.
not sure I would want an ev, no actually pretty sure I would not.

Can we just stick with gas until I die? All kidding aside I don’t trust batteries for a few reasons.

It took 10 months because they had to stop and charge the damn thing every 20 miles with the accompanying generator trucks,

That assumes a straight line path from one pole to the other. The title had the travel distance: 18,500 miles, not 12,000 miles. The average speed is still dismal.
