Trump was on Letterman before L
went stupid.

Trump made a cameo appearance in the movie “Two Weeks Notice”, as well.
I thought they only used his house, but Wikipedia says he made an appearance.

I see Mr. Columbus on the street in San Francisco from time to time. He lives the life in one of the town’s poshest neighborhoods, and the Trump cameo is undoubtedly an uncomfortable fact for Columbus now among his limousine liberal friends and neighbors. So Columbus distances himself from his own movie to save face. Sad

A few years ago, I found this gif, but someone added “Excuse me, sir, but where can I find the covfefe?”

>But Trump said on Truth Social this week: “Nothing could be further from the truth.” He added that his appearance had given the film a considerable boost. “That cameo helped make the movie a success, but if they felt bullied, or didn’t want me, why did they put me in, and keep me there, for over 30 years? Because I was, and still am, great for the movie, that’s why! Just another Hollywood guy from the past looking for a quick fix of Trump publicity for himself!”Please tell me that was meant as "tongue in cheek", seriously.

People cheered when Trump showed up on-screen,” Columbus recalled. “So I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.’ But he did bully his way into the movie.” So, did you leave him in the movie because the audience liked it, or because he bullied you? You can't have it both ways...

I’m sure now they will demand this small scene be removed from the movie.

From what I read several years ago was that is it part of the standard contract when filming at Trump Properties that the movie maker incorporate a Trump cameo, I think that is entirely believable. But whether they movie maker leaves it in the final cut it up to the editor. In Home Alone 2 it was/is a great scene.
I’m fairly sure I read that during 2020 cable channels running Home Alone 2 cut the scene from their broadcasts.

Columbus had to admit that Trump’s appearance was wildly popular. Nuff said.

Trump also had a cameo in “Richie Rich”, another movie starring MacCauley.
