Linux is junkware. If you want a good computer OS use MS and Apple products.
See #23 above.
“Linux is junkware. If you want a good computer OS use MS and Apple products.”
Both are based on different variants of Unix. Linux is full open source, iOs has elements of closed source along with the open source. So to claim Linux is junk is to claim the Unix base source of iOs is also junk.
The difference? I have complete control over mine you do not, just like with MS Apple will always own yours. Linux does not own mine. If I had a Mac I would have already replaced the OS with Linux.

Unix systems.
C-code to determine spaceloss over multiple distances. Easy, don’t have to load up some application to run it. type in “spaceloss” enter the distances and frequencies, get your answers.
C-code to determine great-circle azimuth and distance between two points for RF propagation.Type in “gc”, enter the endpoints and done. Don’t need to load up some spreadsheet to run the math.
C-code to test and evaluate multiple broadband receivers covering 1 to 18 GHz. Easy - set up the tests, menu for the tests, run it. That’s a specialized, expensive, and huge application otherwise.
Test sensitivity of another broadband receiver with the front end wide open - can’t shut off the incoming stuff from the antenna. Hint: Gate the test signal responses with $20 of hardware, then the c-code to do the rest.
Oh Yeah - Forgot. C-code for controlling and reading back multiple test equipment pieces. That, again, is specialized, expensive, and huge applications.
Microsoft base loads do not provide the tools to accomplish these functions.
Unix - Linux, the BSDs - provide these capabilities as part of the base load.
I know. I spent almost forty years doing this sort of work as part of my assigned duties.
Microsoft is simply not up to the task, along with having reliability problems. I have no experience with Apple products.
Just a final thought - QNX is a highly reliable Unix operating system. You run nuclear reactors with it. Turn it on, walk away for the next twenty years. Try THAT with Microsoft junk. Had to deal with it a few times. It is different, but still unix. Available to the public, don’t know the current cost.

Ummm...
No.
There is a reason Linux is preferred by so many web-server operations.
Since Microsoft merged the DOS (shell) layer with Windows graphical layer in Win95 to provide their ‘Active Desktop’ (that gave birth to the now eternal mshtml.dll), Windows threw away all pretense to security. Secure networking on Windows provides employment for, literally, millions of people. Not that THAT, in and of itself, is a bad thing - tech jobs are what they are - but there is that.
Can’t speak to Mac’s fitness.
You obviously don't have any exposure to what goes on on the backend side when you visit a website, or you wouldn't make such an ignorant statement.
Android on phones and tablets is also a codefork of Linux.
