There is a reason Linux is preferred by so many web-server operations.
Since Microsoft merged the DOS (shell) layer with Windows graphical layer in Win95 to provide their ‘Active Desktop’ (that gave birth to the now eternal mshtml.dll), Windows threw away all pretense to security. Secure networking on Windows provides employment for, literally, millions of people. Not that THAT, in and of itself, is a bad thing - tech jobs are what they are - but there is that.

Ummm...no. That version of Windows was deprecated when Windows NT (1994) was created from the ground up. Since you are confused by the name ‘Windows’ having been used by the DOS variant and Windows NT, you have no clue what you are saying.
